Heroes of the Storm is better then league.

So, I used to play LoL A LOT, but I switched to HotS for a few reasons

  1. Map variations. Playing on Summoner's Rift for 1000 games just isn't fun.
  2. The community is much better. Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect, but it is much better than LoL.
  3. OBJECTIVES! I LOVE the aspect of fighting for more than just to take down the enemy core. Bringing objectives to help achieve that main goal is fantastic.
  4. The bots. This might seem like a weird thing to add, but the bots that take over when somebody AFKs is a spectacular upgrade from just having 1 less person, which leads me into my next point
  5. Shared XP. It opens up the game to have people like Abathur, or Cho'Gall or Murky because you're taking a whole entire different route to XP
  6. The playability of the Heroes. According to HotsLogs, there are currently 15 heroes with less than 10% play rate, with 46 heroes in the game (or 45 if you consider Cho'Gall 1) thats ONLY 33% of the heroes that are below 10% play rate... Thats close to nothing compared to League's astonishing 76%. Thats right, 76% of the heroes in league of legends have less than 10% play rate. A whopping 93 champions are played in less than 10% of the games. If that doesnt say something for the balance in the game (in game, not matchmaking) I don't know what does.
  7. More than 1 comp! Just like the map idea, playing the same composition over and over again gets boring, especially on the same exact map. Where as in HotS as long as you have a warrior and healer, the other 3 can litterally be anything and youre good to go. (Not even kidding, got wrecked by 4 tanks and a Morales). To the contrary, in LoL, you have a support, an ADC, an AP mid, a bruiser or tank top, and a bruiser or tank jungle (typically whichever you dont have in top). You can argue "well you can go AD assassin mid blah blah blah" but youre just arguing semantics at this point. There are minor changes but for the most part, thats all youre going to get is that comp.
  8. Familiar faces. This one might not work for everybody, but seeing people that ive seen for years and years in my video game past experiences, makes me happy. Watching Rexxar smack around Diablo (or vice versa) makes me happy (in a weird way) because I've known Diablo forever and I've known Rexxar for years, but never even dreamed of seeing them in the same universe.

The only problem is the lack of players. I wish people saw the beauty of this game the same way I did. People are just turned off by the talents rather than items and such because they think its easier... which... I guess, in a way is easier, but its just different. If there were more people playing then there wouldnt be as big of an issue with the matchmaking system. I hope you all enjoyed my novel about why HotS>LoL.

No one played Dominion, and I get very long queues for TT.

Riot's still working on removing a bunch of future toxic ragers. Hang on there.

That depends on the attitude of the players, not the game itself. Lead the charge for the team yourself, don't depend on Riot to do everything for you.

It's not.

Level 30 veterans can conquer an Intermediate Bot mode by going 50/0/0 solo with ease, and adding a bot for an afk player is promoting nothing more than free kills for the enemy team.

Well there's Mordekaiser, but no one gives a shit about him.

46 in HOTS, 130+ in LoL. You can't compare play rates between games like this. Of course when there's a high number of playabla characters in a certain game, there's always a point where at least 5-8 characters will not be played a lot.

It's okay breaking the meta, there's no such rules that bringing a Bard top will get you banned. It only depends if your soloQ teammates would agree to your ideas of meta-breaking or not, if not, they'll consider this as trolling. So it's highly recommended that you do this with a premade team.

Well I always have a deja vu that I kept seeing this same name before in-game, but I don't think I'd really care about it that much.

As a player of the top 4 MOBA's, i have this to say: I don't think one is better than the other. Instead, i feel that each provides something unique that makes it enjoyable.

Hots- the map differences and the comp.

Smite- the gods and the game modes as well as it being a third person view.

Dota(2)- The "champs" and the map plus the rune system in river.

LOL- the game modes, champs, and the rune system/masteries.

This is just a rough draft of what makes them different but fun to me.

league is way to linear and is basically summoners rift. smite is liek league but better game modes and is harder becuase you have tyo land stuff not to mention your always on bot but the map is switched. heroes beats league becuase of not every heroes is good on every map and you can build a person different ways more so then league. the last point being heroes is more of a team game then league. your team all gaining lvls at the same rate ratehr then say hey garen is 16 and the adc and supp are still 12 like wtf. but having upgrades to your not 1 but 2 ults ......

HOTS doesn't have any hot dudes or cute little girls. Lack of character diversity, mainly just heroes thst attract teenage boys.
