What if Bard's Ult Healed Allies?

I was thinking the other day...Bard has really no "great" way to itemize. He's not a tank like Thresh but that's the best way to build him since his AP ratios are really mediocre. What if his ult got a buff similar to Lissandra got recently so that he can viably build some AP?

BTW, make adjustments elsewhere if this would make him too strong.

So, if he ults himself and ally inside with him, they heal?

No, just any ally hit by his ult will be healed.
