How to win a landsliding game?

So what's the secret to winning a game when you can't 1v1 your lane opponent (I was playing Riven against a Renekton) and the rest of your team is getting dumpstered because none of them know the limits of their champions? I wasn't feeding in the early game, I knew from the very beginning that I couldn't fight Renekton. I just farmed under tower, had really good CS and just played defensively.

Laning phase ended and my entire team was getting stomped. Renekton never left lane so I basically just sat top to babysit him to keep him from onehitting my tower and making the situation worse. I kept just trying to farm to make sure that once I did get into a fight, I wouldn't be worthless, but it felt like every wave of creeps that I took, my team gave them another kill.

Once the enemy attention came top, it was GG from there because contrary to popular belief, Riven, in fact, cannot 1v5.

Is it possible to win a game when your team doesn't understand when the enemy is snowballing and to... you know... stop feeding? I know it sounds stupid to just tell your team to stop feeding, but that's literally all they had to do. All of their deaths were trying to duel people they clearly couldn't duel. All they had to do to win the game was literally play defensive and farm, close the gold gap and then beat them with superior CS.

Um I have been in a few of these, games where there is no reason we should of one at all. Literally down to no turrets at the nexus on our side with the opposing team only missing one turret at top and one at bottom. There was no reason to win that game at all.

But what I hope helps is when your team gets the bloodlust, and it appears all they want to do is play areana pvp, if you want to win you have to pick up the slack. By this I mean, you have both turrets in your lane and not is missing one, when you notice a huge stack of winions heaping for bot you leave your lane and go fight them.

It helps when others on your team have this mentality. I have team mates saying I'm useless because I have a low kill score meanwhile I am defending both top and bottom from winions and bd runs, from the other team.

It won't allways get you the W, but I have seen so many wins when I thought the game was already lost in the first 10 min, lol the feeder had 10 deaths.Chin up and I hope that helps.
