@Riot: Are you happy with trundle?

Trundle is currently a niche pick in toplane vs some auto-heavy champs, but just flounders in the jungle in the current meta (and almost since his inception). Are you guys happy with this situation? I feel like trundle should be KING in a tank meta, but his lackluster kit and poor clearing just make him such a liability until he gets to lategame.

I know you guys are big on champions "achieving their lategame fantasy," but that almost never happens with trundle cause he just brings nothing to the table:

Q: not enough dmg + stuns you W: pretty good E: CD too long, not up for long enough, slow not strong enough R: effect doesn't last long enough

His Q doesn't stun. It slows briefly and steals attack damage, but it doesn't stun.

The thing about Trundle is he is a masterful brawler, duelist, stat thief and off-tank, but he is full melee and his only ranged attack is his ult. If his enemies can outrun him and he misses his iceberg, he has no answer for it, and his ult is only as strong as the enemy's tankiest champion. When it comes to teamfights, he has virtually no peeling power aside from being a deadly nuisance; if the enemy focuses on someone else, he can chomp away the squishies in a few seconds. If they focus him, his regeneration power enables him to fully heal stupidly quickly in the late game, allowing him to stay in the fight when others would have to recall, and the enemy will leave themselves open to his allies. He also destroys turrets extremely quickly; so quickly, in fact, that if a Trundle is split pushing, you must stop him AT ALL COSTS.

Yyeah, there's little finesse or specialty to his abilities, but it fits his character as the dumb muscle, and not everyone needs to have the kind of dexterity or complex abilities like Lee Sin or Braum. His strength is that when it comes to melee, he's a jack of all trades and a master of none; he has the tenacity of Garen and the strength of Darius, though they outmatch him in their respective specialties.
