Why did Zac get reworked?

Taliyah Rocks··6 votes·1,484 views

I can't play LoL anymore, it sickens me. They ruined two of my most played champs in the past few months, Aatrox and now Zac. But my concern is mainly about Zac. Aatrox has his share of problems, and he is indeed in need of a rework.

But Zac????

He was balanced.

He was interactive.

He was reliable.

But most of all, he was FUN AS HELL.

I can't figure out ONE single reason why they would even rework him.

NOT ONE!

I feel like they had some ''cool'' idea and they decided to slap them on Zac despite the fact that he didn't need a rework.

His rework was uncalled for. Please try to convince me otherwise.

In short, they felt that he didn't fit the design fantasy that they wanted, and that after you used all your spells you couldn't do much.

Malphite suffers from this faaaaaar more that Zac does, yet he wasn't updated.

Inbetween E cooldowns Zac still had his passive mini-game and his W spam. He offered strong initiate and followed up with decent damage and an interactive sustain mechanic. His new ult produces less chunks and pulls Zac away from the chunks produced by his E. His new ult is counter-intuitive to his core gameplay.

Malphite needs more than a roster update can provide. Riot pointed this out, same with Amumu and Rammus.

Malphite is on the list for a complete kit rework (in the same way of Sion Poppy Fiora Galio).

Ok sure but why3 votes

felt

I wish they could let the people who actually play league decide that, instead of hiring designers to "feel."

They have their internal testers, which may as well not exist, since they never explain what they actually do or show them trying out stuff. Meanwhile the pbe is flat out ignored for any feedback, unless it only approves of their changes.

They've done some good reworks like Cait, Kat and Koz, but they've completely shattered other ones like Poppy, Talon and this guy. Rip.

How was Poppy a failure? It's among one of the best reworks along with Sion.

Ok sure but why2 votes

They designed her to do nothing but run away from fights, from her slow, to her no-dash circle, to her stun/free dash away, to her ult that makes people leave. That's the most obnoxious, boring, toxic kit you could imagine.

That's what a warden is though...?

Ok sure but why1 votes

Someone who only runs away from fights? Wanna name any other champ who's that obnoxious?

She doesn't use those tools to run away from fights, they help her do that, yes, but they are mainly used to cause disruption and peel for allies in a fight.

Ok sure but why1 votes

I've NEVER seen a Poppy do anything with their kit except run away from everything.

Then I guess you're in the laning phase against her, or just fighting really bad Poppies.

Because he didn't DO much besides his E. And if his ulti was up, his ult.

His Q was a boring spell, being a more narrow version of his W with less damage and a slow.

He had little impact past his engage they felt.
