Any particular reason why my MMR is high gold, but I was placed in Iron 2?

you dont know your real MMR. no, OP.GG isn't a sure reliable to know your real MMR.

Same thing happened to me. Was Gold for two years, account never even saw Bronze. Didn't play for one season, so apparently I deserve Iron2 now. Fuck me, right?

its been screwy since season 8 started to be honest. Lost 8 of 10 games in placements with 2 games where 2 of my team went afk, 4 games where 1 went afk and 2 games with the same Draven that ran it up the middle (I reported and amazingly I got a message that action was taken that day...I rarely see that happen). got placed significantly lower and was pretty consistently moving up, but gave up on the grind. Not even sure I am going to attempt ranked this season.

Too much grind just to get to where I should be, and then too much toxic crap. Going back to ARAM where the game is more balanced....
