Why even have Death Recaps?

Seriously. I just had a game where I was attacked by at least 4 enemy champions in the process of being killed. I checked my recap, and it showed the damage from the killer (who only dealt about 400 Damage in total) and then either side was Assist: 'Minion 36 Damage', Assist: 'Minion 54 Damage'.

4.2k Damage over 15 Seconds.

Gives you something to look at when you're waiting for that 30-60 seconds respawn time, in case you aren't already busy enough typing *s into chats.

Yeah, the recap is so laughably inaccurate as a way to lighten the mood between death and respawn

I actually agree here, typically my killer came in to finish me off at sub 200hp and thus did minimal damage, but the whole point of the death recap was to find out who you were taking the most damage from, and to itemize properly against it.

Now don't get me wrong, typically if there's a three item jinx attacking me and I get killed by single completed item Diana, I'm going to realize it's the AD threat, but the point is that newer players could really utilize that information, I know I could have while I was coming up and learning the basic functions of the game.

As a tank player it's a good tooltip to know what I should be building defensively, plus I like knowing I got a kill from a single auto that did like 20 damage lol

I agree, the death recap should be complete. that being said not only every player that attacked you but every ability that did damage. With only 3 abilities shown if they did most damage with whatever they used initially, even without extra helpers you won't see what they did most of their damage with.
