Riot, how was this jungle item passed into notes?
Skirmisher's Sabre: PASSIVE - CHALLENGING SMITE Smite can be cast on enemy champions, marking them for 6 seconds. While marked, you deal 18-69 bonus true damage to them on hit, have vision of them, and reduce their damage to you by 20%.
This Smite upgrade is by FAR the most easily-abused and very over-bearing when used with a jungler (Or ANY lane) that builds up Attack Speed or has an AS steroid. I remember seeing it used to have a 3-hit limit when cast, but was changed to 6 seconds and has no tooltip to a hit limit, making this skill very overpowered for champions that counter-jungle to kill the enemy, gap-closing AD champions, and overall any champion that can attack fast while sticking to them.
Not only does this skill have plenty of power to abuse, it's supposed ganking/dueling equal, the **Stalker's Blade ** only deals 164 true damage at max level.
PASSIVE - CHILLING SMITE Smite can be cast on enemy champions, dealing 28-164 true damage and reducing their movement speed by 50% for 2 seconds
The slow is nice, but the damage dealt is far too little to be used for ganking when the jungler has any form of gap-closer, CC, or speed steroid. If the latter jungler is in the game, the Skirmisher's Blade is not only 2.5 times more effective in damage at max level (If you land one hit per second while the mark is in place), but it reveals them in bushes so they cannot get away from your attacks, and they deal 20% less damage, making top-lane bullies or fed ADCs easier to handle.
Unless you forgot to add this hit-cap to the tool tip, I HIGHLY suggest you revise this item for how the jungle plays out in higher-tiered games.
Sincerely, A concerned Jungler
