the environment in Teambuilder is much less toxic than in normals

go figure lol...

I think its because the personality that it takes to deal with the penalty of waiting for a game in return for the reward of playing who you want to play is much different than the "quick" satisfaction of the Normal's "solo que" personality.

what do u guys think?

I find an unusually large amount of idiots and ragers in teambuilder, enough to feel that the mode is ironically named. You don't get a 'team.' You get four 'allies' that are too concerned with their k/d to notice anything going on with the match as a whole.

Also this happens:

-Bard appears. Host approves Bard and everyone readies up to start the match. -Bard performs poorly, match is a loss. -Host: Report Bard trollpick

Definitely less toxic. I played a normal the other day where everyone called out a position (I filled) and the jungle master yi didn't take smite and wen top. Our yasuo who had called top left because the master yi was doing nothing but feeding, and then the master yi proceeded to blame us for the loss. I don't have things like that happen in teambuilder.

I think part of it has to do with what you get to play. In team builder each player queued up to play something they wanted to play with a 100% chance of getting it. They also get to opt out of teams they don't like. Both of those somewhat remove the pre-game issues you get in other game modes.

I don't think it has to do with the type of personality willing to wait. It's more that the frustration caused by waiting can't be blamed on any of the people who join your group (unless the captain is booting them). When you're stuck waiting, anyone who joins is a relief by default. In non-Team Builder teams, the frustration of role conflict leaves people blaming their teammates.

I find that a lot of team builder games are very trolly. People create team builders with one or two friends that troll anyone that joins their group. I've had a few games where people claim they are doing a stream of "What not to do" and they play the first 10 minutes without items, or they play super aggressive with Soraka with boots at level 1.

can trolly and toxic be considered the same thing?

I consider them the same thing. Trolls create toxicity.
