Garen is beyond broken

Honestly, this champ has no counterplay. You win against him early game? Doesnt matter he will do 1300 true damage with his R late game. "just kite him", good luck kiting something thats literally resistant to cc, slows and has around 550 movement speed. Not only is he braindead easy to play in lane, hes also stupidly good in teamfights, where you press w e and run at the enemy, sometimes press Q if you feel like your 5000hp 3 shotting tank build isnt enough. Seriously, if the game goes past 30 minutes, and the enemy has a garen you might as well ff, there is nothing you can do that that brainless fucker.

Garen is pretty god awful in team fights. There's absolutely no way he's good in them. You're not handling him right if you think he's good in a team fight.

Also, his kit is easy, which means he need to win via game mechanics. If you're losing against a Garen, you're losing the game of League of Legends Laning Phase.

play something that can out tank/damage him late game

outside of that, counter build

even if you picked an unfavorable champ to fight him with, you can counter him

now I can't speak from expertise on what the normal garens builds are (they are kind of diverse right now)

there are 2 things that pop up commonly though

Items that give passive HP Regen (or boost said HP Regen)

Items that peel armor/mr
