Shaco PBE Rework Part 2: A comparison to the other assassins.
I'll just say that: I know there's gonna be a bunch of trolls calling me "whiny" and shit like that but i'm just trying to get my voice out there and hope I can make some sort of change, even if the likelihood is about as low as a world-winning contention by a western team. So, yeah. This is a continuation from my last rant about the new reworked Shaco.
I am not going to go fully into detail in comparing Shaco to the other assassins, I believe anyone with eyes can see that Shaco is essentially a pile of shit compared to any one of them. Except MAYBE Fizz. There was new PBE notes and I was really hoping to see some changes regarding Shaco but that doesn't happen oh well. I noticed they made a few changes to the major reworked assassins. Who am I kidding? They straight up buffed them which is just ridiculous! The only one that didn't get buffed was Katarina who lost 10% AD ratio for an increase in base damage which is a fair balance change, maybe even a little bit of a buff. Talon's E is now affected by CDR only at the cost of 10 extra cooldown. Leblanc, holy shit. Leblanc gets stat buffs which I may make a bigger deal than it is but hear me out: WHY? Leblanc gets 5 extra MS, increased base and per level health regen. Why would riot just randomly add these extra stats to an early-game mid laner? This is straight-up bullshit Leblanc has everything she needs and more why does she need more stats?
Leblanc rework essentially lessens her restrictions that allows her to use more combos, you don't just have like 2 or 3 different combos you have a bunch and yeah someone is gonna find a way to use a select few most optimally: that's still more than you can ask for. Hell, they gave Leblanc the ability to summon her clone ANYWHERE on the map. That's HUGE! There's so much potential in something like that especially in SoloQ where a single fuck-up can mean the game. Having an ability that forces you're opponent to think about their next action is literally freelo. You can affect other lanes without being there and not like GP ult (which is also really good n' all but this is different) you don't really deal any damage but the way this clone works is meant to be a trick, a mindgame to force your opponent to consider their next action and this is hugely impactful in any situation you can think of. Hell, if you're already on the map and you summon it somewhere like top, chances are the top laner is gonna take too long to consider looking at the map and he'll do something stupid. That's the base minimum strength of this ability, pretty much.
I know what people are saying: "Leblanc can't instakill anyone anymore" This is due to the fact that her sigil, though now being able to apply sigils with any ability, it isn't instantly attached it takes a second or 2 to come full circle and finally applying itself. My question is: Are you really gonna complain about something as little as that? You've gained more freedom to use your abilities, you've gained a global fucking clone but you can't handle that you can't one-shot someone as quickly as you could before? You still can one-shot like before with the sigil, you still do a lot of damage even without the sigil and you probably even have more damage the later the game goes on, I think but I am not sure. You cannot sit there and tell me that she needs more buffs or any thing to really "help" her.
Truth be told, I am mostly salty towards Leblanc, though I do not believe my opinion is bias because Leblanc players shouldn't complain with these changes (seriously, you shouldn't be) but being able to globally affect the map with your clone is something I always imagined Shaco's clone doing even if it doesn't do damage. That is because I've only ever thought that's the only way it can be used any other way, I can't imagine riot making Shaco's clone viable and it's definitely still a pile of shit, but I digress.
