And yet most assassins are getting nerfs for the change (Akali, Shaco, Talon)
Incorrect. Most assasins are getting balance changes that are worth more than what they had previously. Surely, I do not have to bring up all the convenient changes for the other assassins that make them broken as fuck right? The only one I'd argue that needs a little more help is Talon but even then he's definitely better than what he previously used to be unlike Shaco. Save me the time and drop this argument because it's silly.
What are you talking about? What about
?
?
? There are plenty of assassin items with CDR.
Oh... Okay, this is the last time I respond to you because you're just not reading at this point. Ghostblade is an item Shaco mains and I theorycraft about A LOT. There's the side that favor building it and there's the side that doesn't favor building it. I am on the fence against it because I do not believe Shaco can use it to full effect for a few specific reasons. Maw of Malmortius has always been a defensive item I favored but the changes make me shy away from it because of it's new build path. I never enjoyed building the CDR for Shaco but the serrated dirk for 1.1k was such a nice spike in damage. Death's Dance isn't even an argument. It's expensive as all hell for mostly just lifesteal stats which is just a secondary stat for Shaco in general. Also, there's so many really strong, hell, OVERPOWERED new AD items or newly changed AD items like Duskblade. If you can't play an assassin that can't afford to build those items because they have to build according to their faults then you shouldn't be playing those champions. Also, don't say "They can't build those items because Shaco should build items according to his strengths" because there's a HUGE difference between building to make up for your faults and building for your strengths.
Yeah, but it helps new Shaco players clear the jungle easier and deal with enemies. This rework isn't just for you. 90 mana at rank 1 is a nightmare for people who aren't used to it.
I'm starting to get a little tired of the "lower elo" argument. I'll break this down: Shaco isn't a mechanically hard champion to play. We can all agree on that. If low elo players cannot get used to such little things then why are you trying to get better? You're just not at that point. You want the game to go down to your level so that you will have an easier time but that won't help because the enemy can use the same champion this isn't favorable for you. So, why make changes that would only favor you but diminish in favor for higher elo players? This argument was up for the Alistar changes when they made his combo easier to land. A lot of Alistar players were ranting about the change for a good while until Alistar just got nerfed to hell and went out of meta. (Resurfaced every now and then).
Really? You could just build a mixture of AD and AP. Something like
. Would probably give you a ton of damage.
Oh God... Again, Shaco is a champion that demands maximum efficiency to build. Actually, junglers in general need to be efficient with their builds because of their limited gold. If you tried that build in ranked, you would get so behind it's disgusting. Also, if you have to build to make up for the errors in your kit, Why play that champion? There's literally no reason. This is too expensive of a build, too little reasoning to build any of these items as a Shaco.
Doesn't take a lot of AP to make this useful. It's 1 second longer for every 20 AP. Even a
will give you a much longer box if you keep it maxed.
You're contradicting yourself with this statement: Yes, it does take a lot of AP to make it useful. It's 1 SECOND FOR 20 AP!?!? Even if you get up to 10 extra seconds, wtf does that even do for you? Really? You have boxes on the map for a little bit longer. Wowie! Is anyone idiotic enough to run into it? Probably, sadly. Still, that's really bad. Also, if Shaco is weaker early and better late then why would you bring up Mejai's? That's a snowball item meant for early snowballing that doesn't give you many stats early anyways and helps you purely to scale, RNG item bad on weak early champions.
Well, they said they were going to nerf his early game. With how punishing invades are in the new jungle I imagine Shaco needs to be relatively poor at dueling until level 4 at least.
Back on this bandwagon again....Here's the thing: By the standard, Shaco is already poor in early duels. There's just a lot of outplay potential Shaco's could do and also ignite was really useful. As you can see, that won't be as useful anymore.
But that's the point of the assassin rework, to lower the burst of the assassins and make them take a few seconds longer to kill their targets. That's going to everyone, not just Shaco.
Incorrect, all asassins had either a damage increase or maintained the same damage while getting other useful changes. Even Ekko got a damage buff at the cost of removing his slow on his passive. Maybe some damage numbers were rebalanced but statistically, all assassins got a damage buff.
Actually % missing health is on most assassins as a way to kill squishy characters, because it's basically more base damage that stacks with penetration. So you might not have a whole lot of extra base damage, but when you stack Lethality it becomes true damage against that carry.
Incorrect, % health damage is not physical... Lethality is basically armor pen and E does magic damage. You're greatly misinformed and I highly suggest you do more research.
Sure, the fear has some skill associated with it. You have to time the explosion well and your opponents have a moment to counterplay it. It's still a 1.25 second fear, over 0 CC. That's a buff, plain and simple.
I would be greatly insulted if you are even suggesting that Shaco's ult had no counterplay before the rework. His ultimate was as unreliable as his boxes and the AI was so much worse! I've stated all of this before, you should pay attention. It's gotten so bad that Shaco mains just take the skill at lvl6 and level it up at 17 and 18. Clone management is impossible to perfect and is just used for little things such as objective control and RNG.
