How, exactly, is Wukong "out of meta"?

He rushes duskblade and then oneshots you at level 6-8, then just snowballs from there.

Oh and have fun trading against him, he just E+Auto+Qs you for 60% of your health and then Ws away so you cant do anything back.

Idk how this guy is "out of meta" but he is definently not weak or fair to play against.

  1. Falls off. HARD. REALLY HARD.

  2. One-dimensional.

  3. Not that tanky given his really straight-forward attack method. Nor does he build too tanky (he used to in season 5).

Other top laners also have a patterns where they jump on you, do some dmg, and then do something that makes it hard to respond like stun or whatever. It's nothing special.

got no way to migrate dmg got no sustain scale poorly in to the endgame

... he just work on a favorable lane

I played some Wukong today just to refresh my memory. He's not that amazing in lane because he runs out of mana quickly if you spam EQW trying to force damage. If you're against any of the popular manaless top laners you'll end up backing first that way. If you're against a squishy sure you can probably cheese them to death before you run out of mana, but the meta is tanky. Another issue with that is it's hard to rush assassin items because your lane opponent will probably force you to get defensive items unless they suck.

But he's alright because he can initiate teamfights better than any other bruiser, and arguably he can engage on targets more easily than other bruisers thanks to invis, but he's definitely held back by bad lane matchups imo.
