This season is a total abortion. Kill this role-based LP garbage and start over.

There is very little reason for someone who isn't in their main role to try to win, and I'm chain losing my placements because of this. Even if they get their secondary role, they don't try, because all of their LP gain is on their main role.

Even worse, it completely and utterly fails its intended purpose, because everyone who played last season has all of their roles starting at their last season rank.

The system assumes the S8 Diamond support main who got auto-filled to jungle and maybe plays it at a Silver level is Diamond-level in that role, which is completely fucked up and kills the entire purpose of the system. The only way it can actually start to function correctly is if this person loses dozens of games in the role, not to mention every other role they can't play at a Diamond level.

This system should be completely dumped, and whoever came up with it should be held accountable for designing it. This should not have been released, and these flaws should have been obvious.

It's a big change indeed. Riot said that if it won't get better they'll get rid of it, but now just try to make the best of it.

Autofill games are much worse without the system. Also, where do you get the idea that the system assumes s8 diamond jugglers are getting placed as diamond supports? The highest they are placed is low plat high gold supports and it only takes a handful of games for them to get into silver mmr.

Starting over will just make us go back to terrible autofill games last season which were significantly worse. (And I’m guessing I can find a dozen threads made by you to show that).

Mmr gets reset in between seasons which puts people at least an entire tier lower. Their mmr also drops, placements only stops visible ranks from dropping. That part of the ranked system is completely unchanged from prior seasons where the exact same things happened.

Also, I had a ton of allies that didn't even try on their main role. Let's not pretend trolls soft inting is anything new.

Don't worry man by the way its going to far its going to get reverted. Everyone i talk to about the changes of 9.3 and ranked system, there's like 3 people out of 20 that actually defend how the system works. The new way it works is total garbage should have never been apart of the start of the ranked season to begin with. Play your games to the best of your ability thats all you can do, but the more and more you play you will see how screwed the ranks are. Played with some Diamonds in a silver game yesterday, Im amazed at how long they will let this proceed. Games are also being decided at 6-7 mins in. League of Legends is at a position right now that I don't think its even worth playing until the November December. Find something else to play come back and if its still the same well there is a uninstall buttion
