Riot Make Runes Free.

A lot of players have reached or are reaching level 30 within this season,its a shame they have to waste ip to rent runes for 3 months. Make all runes cheaper or 1 ip.

I too, would enjoy trying out flat 10 CDR runes without paying 9430 IP.

To be fair, if they're giving rewards/returns based on the Runes players have when they implement the system, they need them to not be free for a few months before, otherwise everyone has every rune, and then how do they compensate those who had them?

they can name them "mock runes" or whatever. Just give new players something to go on until the end of the season.

Riot plans on compensating players that have bought runes before preseason began. So buying runes right now won't matter much at all.

runes are suppose to be earned over playing the game it would make people who spent years getting runes to feel like they got robbed because someone who just got the game could get every rune

those people got worth out of their runes,they used them for years. someone who just reached 30 would be spenting the same IP to use them for 3 months.

My biggest issue with this idea actually has very little to do with me, personally.

Whenever we ask Riot for something, it's important to note that it takes time. And time is very valuable for a game developer. In order to make runes free, they would have to implement some kind of system, as you suggested, that keeps the free runes separate from the paid ones. If they don't do that, compensating players for all the runes they bought would be even more cumbersome (I'm sure it's already going to be a pain).

It would hard, I imagine, to defend the idea that making rune rentals available now is a more valuable use of time than working on the new system. It all depends on how difficult that would be, I guess.
