The Age of the Mage (mana-gating discussion)

Just curious about the general thoughts on the new mage items from the mana side of things.

Do you find yourself building more than one mana item now, as opposed to just a last patch, or are the other stats or the fact that Haste is a unique passive good enough deterrents from buying more? Do you feel like you have significantly more mana late game than you did previously? How does this impact your macro play?

If Riot wants to chime in too, I'd love to hear about the thought process or how you approached this same question.
