Only 250 gold. One free ward per minute forever. And no one buys it. Hell, people are forgetting its function. I got yelled at last game because I "wasn't buying wards". This is halfway through the game, and I've had the GST for fifteen to twenty years now and never once has the ward count on the map dropped below two, and I'm getting killed repeatedly by the enemy team when I'm trying to ward because they realize I'm the ward guy and focus me with absolutely everything they have. The punchline here is that I warded more than Janna and Lee Sin, who both had sightstones, and I only bought one ward throughout the entire game before upgrading. My entire team warded almost the least amount on both teams.

By the way, the ward limit per champion is three. All the sightstones in the universe will never change that.

It's a mini sight stone, yet I have to beg my team to buy it every game

It's arguably better than the Sightstone. If you're not tossing around wards like candy on Halloween and actually think about where they may need to be set down while remembering to set them down diligently, you'll never fall underneath one or two wards on the map at any time. If everyone did that, you'd have 6-10 wards on the map AT LEAST. Imagine how much vision you'd have!
