We need changes to ranked placements.

I strongly feel there needs to be a better system for ranked placements. Im having the most trouble finding a legitimate ranking system explanation. The majority of results say that ranking is based on MMR and winning against Bronze and silver players with boost your mmr to match you with gold and higher players, determining your placement by which elo you won/lost against. Can someone from riot clear this up? This is currently my 3rd ranked season of League, in season 4 i placed in Silver 4, last season with the addition of master league i placed in Bronze 3 and climbed to back to Silver 4, and this season i don't want my placements to be filled with toxicity and negativity that cost me victories and lands me in low elo. I have completed 6 placements matches, 3 wins 3 losses, every loss one lane fed, that enemy laner roamed and the game was downhill from there, but its not 100% my fault that lane lost, as an ad carry i can only roam so much, otherwise lose lane, get behind in farm. So am i gonna be doomed to climb from the depths of elo hell because of bad luck in placement matches?

Have a read if you would like to understand how the systems work. The system is bad, we all know this, but at least if you know why and how its bad you can avoid the standard traps that catch a lot of players in ranked play.

There will never be a good ranking system for individuals until individual performance metrics are taken into account for each player in a game, but its unlikely we will ever get that. I've been droning on about making that adjustment to the ranking system for 4 and a half years and the only thing that happened was they took my champion performance score per game idea and turned it into champion mastery scores (its basically the exact thing, word for word, how I outlined it about 4 years back) but never integrated the end game scores with the MMR system to use the scores to help manipulate how much LP and MMR is gained or lost per match.
