The changes on PBE to cloud drake are genius.

Well done, Riot.

First change I've seen in a long time that actually makes sense. Out-of-combat movement speed is such a worthless stat early in the game. Doesn't matter until mid game when you're rotating, and even then its not the greatest. Adding some regular ol' movement speed will be a welcome change in the effort of increasing the desirability of "The worst drake."

(Cloud drake now grants % move speed permanently, tripled when out of combat.)

So basically...... Mages are going to have 6 move speed items + % move speed from a Drake permanently. You do realize that's going to be broken as F?

I'm saying this as a mage: we're already gearing to outrun melees and adcs after this patch and the next. Now we're going outrun them REGULARLY by 80-110 move speed, even on champs that aren't move speed champs.

Because mages are gonna rush all 6 MS items and get multiple cloud drakes

Honestly? Yes and no. Some mage laners will. Support's going to be based on whether they get shouldered with a good or bad adc and jungler. If the support's gold flow gets stymied, then no. They might get 3 items by game's end, but yes. they will build possibly these three:

item 3504 and Twin Shadows or Sherulya's Reverie. All three are team active boosts and have massive move speed on them. They're also all cheap.

Lich, Spellbinder are situationally iffy because they run on the higher side of cost, but some supports will build them in stable games, particularly Sona and Janna and possibly Lux
