Can Fiddle get the Swain treatment?
In patch 6.10, Swain's ultimate got changed:
Healing vs. non-champions changed to 8 / 11 / 13 (+ 3% AP) from 15% damage dealt. Healing vs. champions changed to 30 / 45 / 60 (+ 12% AP) from 75% damage dealt.
I think overall this was a really great idea. Sure, at first the numbers were a little too high but it fixed a lot of problems it had and that Fiddlesticks' Drain has today.
Making it dependant on damage meant that it would also become dependant on you snowballing and on the enemy not buying any magic resist, which overall made it really inconsistent. Now it is consistent and Swain is overall better than he was before the change.
I think the same thing should be done with Fiddlesticks. He is even more dependant on that heal than Swain is in 1v1 situations which means that just buying some MR counters him much more than it does for other champions and falling behind on Fiddlesticks makes his W heal feel kinda useless.
I don't think this would fix all of Fiddlesticks' problems, a lot of it stems from the fact that jungle clearing with him is really hard currently, but the healing problem is something Fiddle struggled with for a long time now and should be adressed at some point.
's heal is on his ultimate that would cost a lot of mana to keep up and as Swain is as a champion, he needed to build a tankier build with
items like that which means his AP isn't really that high. Also the damage those crows do are a lot less then the damage Fiddle's drain does. With Fiddlesticks his drain is on a basic ability and last for 5 seconds with a 3 second CD so it's basically always up. Not going to deny that Fiddle might need some help (especially in the jungle) but I don't think this will be the solution. This might just encourage people to go some AP/Tank build.
