Well, Riot deleted Strength of the Ages, one of the most used, least broken keystones.

Replaced it with a shield when you CC enemies.

I don't know how I feel about this.

It could much more significant for the common users, but we'll have to see.

Edit: Can anyone with a PBE account check out the values?

Shyvana Shen Chogath RIP

2 of those champions have hard CC?

Ralanr1 votes

Plus this feels like a Shen buff since now his E can reduce damage again.

WOOOOW! This really messes Shyvana up

Jungle Leona might be more usable though. Lol.

Fervor on shyv is pretty good?

TyrekGoldenspear3 votes

Not to worry, they're adding more items + a smite heal on all her camps. You'll still get a pretty healthy clear.

And if it's overall tankiness you're worried about, armor pen got nerfed a little, so your Shyv's natural armor just got harder to crack.

WoonStruck2 votes

Its more that the health was invaluable because it canceled out a good portion of the other damage keystones or other champions' burst. This was extremely useful because it was nearly suicide going more than one MR item unless you can afford to go full-tank. Not to mention the extra damage on Titanic/HP scaling champs, if you're into that.

TyrekGoldenspear2 votes

Ah, that makes sense.

Well we do have a missing spot in the resolve tree...

Mira Arya Enthe1 votes

The health is for if you buy a Titanic Hydra and/or Cinderhulk and/or to make her less squish early game if she goes damage route.

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

Ah.

Well good thing Shyv changes are upcoming.

She'll get some love yet!

WOOOOW! This really messes Shyvana up

Don't you run Fervor on her anyway?

Mira Arya Enthe1 votes

Yes and no. Fervor is risky, but pays off mid and late game. Depends on the matchup. But the #1 Shyvana guide of all time, suggests strength of ages for earlier dragons.

I mostly play tanky Junglers anyway, if I ever play Jungle, so this is a nice addition like a reward for securing kills for your team when ganking or teamfighting.

WoonStruck3 votes

~~Yeah, except its probably going to be something low like 50 or 100 so champions like Alistar aren't broken with it. ~~

Essentially, in the majority of cases, you will get less out of the keystone.

Primaquarius1 votes

It would scale with health, so 100 HP on a tank jungler would mean its useless on damage junglers

WoonStruck2 votes

It should scale with health. This is Riot we're talking about, though.

Always conservative with tank buffs, always liberal with anything else buffs.

Malicious Metal2 votes

It'll probably scale with max HP else I'd be useless or overbearing on damage dealers

WoonStruck2 votes

It'd move people away from TLD, Fervor, etc.

I'd be willing to take that potential trade-off, considering most damage dealers can't output a lot of CC.

I'm also willing to bet soft-cc won't activate it, unfortunately.

Ralanr1 votes

Actually I'd be happy if soft CC didn't activate it. Would help differentiate tanks and juggernauts.

Big Lincoln1 votes

Darius Volibear would still benefit from this, technically

since i play voli in the jungle this would probably be superior to grasp now, who knows

WoonStruck1 votes

If its champions only, probably not, especially if it doesn't consider additional shield for more targets hit provided slows apply it at all.

SwiftKitten881 votes

so this screws over every champ who got the mastery because they NEED hp and DIDN'T have very much, and who DON'T have CC like Nidalee

Mommy Elise1 votes

I'll miss it on my spider, but Thunderlord's isn't a total downgrade, honestly.
