Why is everyone toxic when getting advice?

Like yea i know im silver, but that doesn't mean i dont know things that others dont. Just like others in silver would know stuff i dont know. Like i would love for people to point out stuff i do wrong. Yet if i do it to someone else instead of just taking the advice, whether its right or wrong, they want to rage about it instead. For example when i was support, after laning was over so it wouldn't change the games outcome, i told the enemy adc not to play so scared in lane. When im support and the other adc plays scared, doesnt poke me back when i go up to poke him, just basically tells me that i can bully him out of lane for free he wont fight back. So he raged about it. I really dont get it. I would love for people to comment on my play. Itd let me get better, and let me know exactly what i did wrong so i can fix it in future games.

Giving advice is fine, but only when the person you're giving it to actually wants it. If they don't want advice you will immediately come across as being an asshole. It's honestly a good live lesson to ask people if they want advice before giving it.

What you say is very true. To add on to that, you should also try to judge the person based on their attitude in game if possible. Someone who is throwing a massive fit will probably flame you, even if you ask them in the nicest way possible. Someone who seems like they are just having a rough go might be more receptive however.

First off, text over the internet is awful. What someone posts in what you think might be helpful advice, someone else might take as sarcastic in tone. I can't tell you how many times I've had people come back with snide remarks when I'm just trying to help because, lets face it, this is the league of legends community and chances are whatever someone says, it comes across as them being an asshole.
