Couldn't get a normal game with Ekko, tried Bots

After having lobby after lobby dodge in normals, I decided meh I will try Ekko vs. bots. I played 1v5 in custom against bots and built AD (I was wondering how he would play this way considering his normal build is AP). First game ever as Ekko (had not even played him on PBE).

Let's just say he has a very big possibility of being built as a mADC. And that game went extremely well considering I forgot about blue buff and red buff for most of it. Ended up 46/0 with 2 pentas.

Of course it's bots and you can abuse their flaws to win. But the fact that I went 46/0 and won took their base easily against 5 bots and even ganked and roamed a ton, he has potential to be built a mADC. He felt a lot like playing Weaver in DOTA with CC and an easier to use ult.

I purposely made J4 in the game so there was dive to kill me and some beef. Ali would be the peel or their CC and Ashe would be initiate, but Ekko still doesn't care. Now of course this leaves out gank factor etc, but the ability to go in and just blow up 2 full health people in another lane after getting 1-2 kills shows that he has the potential.

It's bots. And how is he a melee adc? In what way is he a melee adc.

He has 2 abilities to juke (3 if you include ult). He has an AoE stun that can give him a strong in. He also has a MS buff and 2/3 slows. His ult gives him durability as well.

The only thing that he does bad at is sustaining without buffs. His mana costs get pretty brutal. And I will admit his kit is pretty projected too.

So? 0 AD scaling does not make the champ. Alistar , was built top lane as a bruiser for awhile. Braum is seen with AD occassionally. Lulu built as a machine gun of doom. Bard is finding a lot of success in tank and bruiser builds and even AD builds. Sometimes you don't need to scale off something to synergize well with it

You dont get it do you?

Alistar has an ult that gives him 2 BF swords. If braum was AD, you lost that game. and Lulu built ON HIT damage. Not AD

Does it matter? Lulu is building synergy with her kit. Does not matter if it's on hit. It's mostly AD and she doesn't scale at all off it, but she does synergize with it. You obviously don't get that sometimes you can potential make a champ that doesn't scale at all through abilities with items, but still be strong because his kit synergizes well with what he builds.

Just because Riot has yet to make a champ that has 0 ability scaling other than the stats on level does not mean it is not possible. It is entirely possible to build someone with 0 scaling but the synergy with items and their kit makes it so they do very well even with the lack of ability scaling.

My point is that alistar and lulu have some minimal cohesion with those builds, Ekko is 100% ap with no AD scaling. And worst part is he is melee, you need to play him like an AP melee LB basically.

His Q potential sets him up to burst someone while his E and W set up an in for free burst and gives him a rather hefty shield for no AP built and his ult heals quite a bit for no AP built and has high base damage. It is entirely possible to play him like an mADC and wreck people consistently with his current values, if they were to nerf his base values on his abilities I don't think he could be played as a mADC. But the way it is now, the base values are enough to give him what he needs as a mADC.

Thanks. I was getting salty, you all can say mapc just fine, but building him madc is stupid as fuck.

his W passive doesn't have a cooldown just a health level so it really help to get AS for all those procs.

I don't know how good of a mADC his kit supports. He's slippery and lots of gapclosers, but in order for him to benefit from an ADC like build, he has to be in melee for a huge amount of time. His spells are about exploiting windows of opportunity and then retreating, which reduces downtime of AA dps and thus makes his build more or less moot in those downtimes.

That said, he feels so much like Void, I'm surprised no one has made that connection yet.

I played against him in an ADC role. We played as Vayne/Bard against Ekko/Morgana. I didn't see too many flaws in his play, as it was the first time I'd run into him. He played great and definitely was a core reason his team won the game. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1838281121/207379439?tab=overview
