X mains basically think high skillfloor/cap champions deserve high power

The Deckowner··6 votes·596 views

Replace X with any champ that is hard to play and has spammable mobility/overloaded kit

which is not true. A champion should not have overloaded amount of power just because they are designed by CertainlyT.(no offence but CertainlyT is known for overloaded champ design) high skillfloor/cap should mean higher outplay protential not higher absolute power.

so plz dont use the "X is 10 harder to play than Y so X should rekt Y and X deserve to be op" statement in this board again.

So your saying Yasuo doesn't have right to be stronger(debatablely) than some one like Talon? Who literately has 2 combos to kill someone? Also i guarantee you all the champs your speaking of are fairly weak right now, even zed is falling out.

I had never mentioned yasuo in my post lol.

talon has one of the worst laning phrase due to melee mana and no spammable mobility, and he falls off extremely hard late game, why did u think yasuo should be stronger?

btw zed is getting huge indirect buff next patch

Yah that doesnt rly matter when you can literally invisbur, press 3 buttons in order and get a free adc kill with 0 counterplay. At least champs like riven, yas, zed take decent dueling skills and mechanics. They have right to have i higher potential.

Also you make no sense, these champs not have a higher skill "floor" They have a higher "skill cap" Meaning the world greatest "riven, will almost always outplay the worlds greatest warwick. But the world worst annie will ussualy beat a riven of the same skill. Its fair.

Kill floor is the requirement to perform the basic of a champions kit, for example lb has quite a high skillfloor brcause u need to be able to do wqrew combo very quickly else u will easily get deleted.

And talon is 100% not a low skill champ. He has counterplay (pink ward and raptor buff) and he is one of the few assassins who doesnt have escape in their kit. Talon require superior aa cancelling skill to get the full protential dmg(using q to aa reset and use hydra to animation cancel), someone like rengar has a much more reliable gap closer and much easier to delete people with triple q(which is just aa resets+enpower aa btw). Talon is literally the healthiest assassin in the game right now idk why u are complaining about him.

(Riven qa is easier than both these two btw)

Finally somebody said it. A champion should not be simply better than other champions because they are harder to play.

Well I mean there has to be some reason to learn a hard champion. If Azir when fully mastered was no stronger than Annie fully mastered then that'd be a pretty shit deal for Azir players.

The Deckowner1 votes

Azir when mastered should NOT absolutely outdmg an annie and destory her, BUT Azir will have superior advantages such as DPS, range, CC, Mobility, etc.

Well yeah I'm not saying there should be literally nothing a hard champion isn't better at than an easier champion, I'm just saying that maximum overall power level does need to be a little higher. A well-played Azir should be scarier than a well-played Annie because he's a lot harder to play well. Of course, that doesn't mean Azir can be overpowered and it doesn't mean Annie should be worthless, but there needs to be trade-offs. Champions that are unreliable due to difficulty need to be stronger than average when pulled off.

yup u r right

a champion with a higher skillcap should definitely be allowed to display that skill cap and outplay easier champs

otherwise they're objectively bad and needlessly difficult

Having the ability to outplay a champion =/= having higher absolute power than easier champion.

Like Zed shoud be able to multiply his dmg by using his shadow and outplaying the enemy, but what he shouldnt be able to do is without outplaying his enemy but still do much higher dmg than the enemy.(not a zed main just using him as an example)

lets say LeeSin , if both lee and another champion who has a less complicated kit but also has a skillshot, lee's skillshot should do more than double of the enemy's skillshot's dmg just because rest of his kit is complicated.

however, the opposite shouldn't be the case either braindead Trundle doesn't deserve high power either
