It's amazing that even after Malzahar's nerfs, he's still the best mid laner in the game

Actually, he's also the BEST champ in the game. The CC and damage he provides is just way too strong. And it's impossible to burst him down in fights thanks to his passive. On top of this, he requires almost no skill to play. All you do is just infect a target and then ult+summon your voidlings. It's literally that easy to win trades. The only real skill is landing the 'q' (or whatever ability the silence is. I really hope Riot guts him next season.

If you need more proof, SSG has gotten him twice in a row (and Janna) and won both of those games. There is not a single champion in this game who takes less skill than Malzahar.

MALZ GOT PLAYED AT WORLDS FINALS QUICK NERF HIM!

Best thing they could do like they should've always done is revert the damn rework.

Malzahar "used" to take skill in this game. It "Used" to be a risk to stand still while channeling your ult.

But protection to carries is over the top now that you can literally stand still as an adc, and that ALSO applies to a mage as well. Of COURSE he will thrive as well.

Yea, point and click suppressions are REALLY hard to use. Don't be so delusional. Even before his rework literally all you had to do was press 'r' and win. Yea is was slightly riskier, but guess what? You can hard cc whoever the enemy team's biggest threat is and then a lot of that 'risk' is gone. And let's not forget this is a TEAM GAME. God forbid Malzahar actually need some help to do his job, just like any other champ in this game. BTW, SSG just won their 3rd game in a row with him. SKT are fools for not banning him out.

Point and click suppresion IS hard to use if everybody knows who youre going to ult AND have QSS to counter it.

But anyway, for whole seasons Malz had this stigma that he is a "solo que only" and teams can counteract him easily. Riot did the best to fill this "void" which is good, but made him basically "ungankable, impossible to 1v1" and of course nullifies melees to dust with his silence and crystal sceptre interactions.

The best thing to do? Just revert the barrier to that classic 4 cast voidling. That growing voidling had a skill expression, made malz able to jungle and take objectives.

I mean if Malzahar being strong was the case, explain why he was almost never picked by other teams before semifinals?

I mean pros do not always know the best picks. Ryze was the best mid laner in the game season 5, but only Faker played him. Not saying the post is correct or incorrect just that professions can get things wrong. I personally think the strength of the pick was that it stoped crown from getting pubstimped so Cuvée could carry.

LOL Ryze. Good joke. Ryze has always had more counterplay than any other mage in this game. Sure, once he catches you you're screwed, but he has such little range on his abilities that it's easy to poke him down before he gets close to you. And when/if he finally does catch you it's very easy for your team to blow him up.

Make that "twice" a "three times" lul

Even though there are champions that take less skill than Malzahar but I doubt there is any champion that is as strong as Malzahar with such low skill cap. All he does is pressing qwer and he gets a kill. I am not sure if Riot likes things liKE THAT.

Thats actually the power of reliability.
