MYMU Anivia - Dont Touch This!

Tract··1 votes·791 views

I dont main Anivia, but I do enjoy playing her. Aside from some clunky visuals, she is a champ whose skills SHOULD NOT BE REWORKED. For an old champion, they all function well and viably right now, every single one of them, and she is very rewarding to learn. She is also one of the more iconic champions. DO NOT CHANGE ANIVA, ALL OF HER SKILLS ARE GOOD, LOTS OF PEOPLE WILL BE EXTREMELY PISSED.

Anivia can quite literally 100-0 people with Q E or R E because her E does 100% of AP in damage with the frost debuff, but yet you say she shouldn't get touched. Trust me, there are a lot more people than just me that hate Anivia and are praying her kit doesn't stay as bursty as it is now.

Essentially I mean her kit may work, but it's so overturned and so centered around her E that it should get changed.

She is one of the few old champs that is still just awesome. All of her fits her theme and game play perfectly. From the passive with the egg to her whole kit. Shes so old yet still so worthwhile and fun to learn and play, she has a massive base of very dedicated Anivias who would flip out if their main gets scrwed too.

You literally just repeated everything you said in the original post instead of actually arguing why you think Anivia shouldn't get changed...

She can't 100-0 people with just her R and E, unless the enemy was stupid enough to sit in the ultimate. Sure she can with her Q>E but considering how slow and easy her Q is to dodge it's your own fault. This is what I don't get about people complaining about Anivia's damage...Yes she is strong but her main reliable nuke skill which is her E is a single target spell so it only hits 1 person. She can't burtst down a team unless you can CC people inside of her ultimate or something unlike champions like Annie Brand Lux Orianna Velkoz Ziggs Zyra where most of their damage is AoE and has a lot of burst like Anivia.

Her Q is very easy to dodge and is her only form of CC outside of slows her from ult. She also has the lowest HP in the game with the slowest movement speed in the game. Even with item 3027 she is still pretty squishy...In fact there were times when I was the same level as their mage and I had a RoA with a decent amount of stacks (I think like 5-6) and I still had less HP then them and they didn't have any items with HP on it...

People just don't know how or when to take advantage against her weaknesses and then get destroyed once she becomes strong and complains about it when they had options to fight her.

Just because you've never seen an Anivia 1-shot someone with R-E doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You just wall them, click R, E them, and get a kill. You can't say it's your fault for sitting in the ult if she walls off the path to get out of the ult and you can't say just flash because you can only flash once every 3-5 minutes.

So she can get a burst down and get a kill from using most of (or all) of her skills? It's not like she is literally the only person who does such a thing in this game. At least with Anivia it's actually a pretty short range (besides for her Q's range) since her E and R are around 625-650 range which is actually about the same range as some one like Annie who has even more burst which is almost all AoE with a reliable stun that can't really be dodged, the only real counter to it is either item 3102 or stay away from her, and much higher base health/movement speed then Anivia.

Also don't forget that Anivia goes through mana like crazy. With just using her R and E on some one it'll cost her 225 mana since her ult would cost her at least 135 mana (more if you leave it up for more then that 1 second) and 90 from her E. Add in her Q and W and her cost becomes 415 mana + 60 mana/second with her ult.

And her wall can easily just be dashed through as well. I know it shouldn't be counted as a "excuse" for her but considering how many champions can dash anyways, most champions in the game don't really care about her wall.

Her 5 second ult and E cooldowns... k. Compared to Annie she is safer with her passive and has much more cc plus a wall while Annie either goes and 100-0s you or does nothing after flashing on you. Anivia can just behind her frontline and R E anyone who goes near her and win a fight and can kite with her W, R, and a short ranged Q. Not to mention the fact you refuse to believe she can 100-0 people with an instant R E ignoring her Q and W. Lastly, sure Annie can 100-0 people but she has to go flash tibbers which has a hefty cooldown and short range. Annie can't kill anyone with a Q W unless she's very far ahead while Anivia can do it as long as she goes even.

Alright you're right maybe I'm just to biased with Anivia since she's been my main since season 3 and I have a strong hate for Annie. Though I still feel Annie is more bullshit since a well-timed ultimate can instantly burst down an entire team (minus their tanks) which basically means an easy team fight and with how fast paced these games are lately, could mean the game if the fight was long enough. Though Anivia's lane phase (mainly her pre-6) is either very strong or extremely weak, which solely depends on if your opponent is good at dodging because if you can dodge Anivia's Q during the pre-6 game, her damage becomes 0 basically and extremely easy to punish it. Sure, once you reach level 6 she becomes much more reliable and harder to fight but the same could be said about Annie once she hits 6...and Annie doesn't have a very easy to abuse pre-6 lane phase either.

I just feel as far as "counterplay" goes, Anivia has more of it than Annie and more weaknesses then most champions.

I do agree Annie is OP, but that's an unfair way to judge Anivia. Just because Anivia isn't as bursty as Annie doesn't mean she isn't bursty.

Yea that's true, that was my bad on bringing in another mage and trying to convert arguments on to her and avoid talking bad about Anivia lol.

In a more lighter and back on topic with OP: I hope they can at least wait until after we see how Anivia does with the items before jumping on changes on her though. They mentioned one of the things they didn't like being the effortless waveclear. I just hope that if they plan on reducing it's damage, they should lower down the mana cost of it or something to compensate the nerf. Or they could just reduce the ult's damage on minions then if they wanted to only do that, then I'd be alright with that.

"all of her skills are good" more like all of her skills are TOO good. anivia's q should be changed so that it has a delay before you can reactivate it so that it actually takes a decent amount of skill to use and so that assassins have an easier time killing her (similar to aurelion sol). i'm not sure why more people don't play her because she is extremely strong. not to the point of being overpowered, but definitely one of the better mages right now. plus she's total cancer with her one shot q+e (+r if they have MR) combo so you can easily tilt your opponents.
