Him being pushed into the Support role instead of his original Mid role says otherwise.

Plus, his EW combo on a single target is just too toxic, and especially when his W gets nerfed for his Support potential, when it also unintendedly nerfed his Mid lane power as well. He's just too fucked up, and really needs his rework to be reverted.

Im glad I didn't have to point out the Mordekaiser Rework it should be obvious. If you don't believe me just recall that at the time you could you could go solo Lane. Max W for the 1st 3 lvls and not be able to cast it

Aatrox isn't finished. It would be one thing if they said "Voila! He's done! No more work ever!" but they've stated numerous times now that they will continue tweaking and working on him until he's in a good spot. They are managing his micro rework with the live balance team instead of the dedicated VGU team (since they have bigger fish like Urgot and Evelynn) so it's understandable if he's going to be more of a work in progress for a patch or two.
