Raising FPS?

Bent Pixels··2 votes·341 views

Is there a way to raise my in-game FPS? it usually just chills anywhere between 20-50 (yes, I am aware that my laptop isn't the greatest) and it's kinda annoying when it gets too low. I have slightly adjusted my settings in attempt to raise my FPS, but there has been little response, if at all.

Any reply is appreciated Thanhs!

Just the basic advice, lower all the video settings to lowest setting and close anything you have running in the background. Other than that I would need the specs of your laptop, which store you got it at and when you got it, basically any info you can give on it.

I'm not sure if you actually wanted my specs or not but here they are lmao

It's an HP Notebook.

Device Specifications Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3710 @ 1.60 GHz 1.60 GHz Installed RAM: 8.00 GB (7.85 GB usable) I don't think you need the device and product ID's System Touch: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Window Specifications Edition: Windows 10 Home Version: 1709 OS Build: 16299.309

(if I could copy and paste from my Settings page this is what it would look like excluding the ID's)

My mom got it for me for Christmas around 2 years ago so I'm unsure as to which store it was from.

Hopefully that was enough

Yeah that is never going to run league perfectly. However If you have a back up copy of windows (and aren't attached to any of the files currently on the computer) I would definitely consider doing a fresh install because HP loads their laptops with junk before selling them that can slow down your computer. Depending on how much junk is in it you might see enough of an improvement to get 60 fps consistently.

Do you mean a fresh install of Windows itself? And I'm also not necessarily looking for League to run perfectly as I knew from the get go that this is not a gaming laptop, just trying to keep a constant FPS rather than dropping all the time, like you said above. TBH I'll just be happy with a constant 40 or 50 but 60 would be even better lmao. I'll try to do that reinstall thing for Windows and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Open Task Manager and sort by “CPU Usage” and if there are any non system processes using up a lot of memory, and you can safely close them, do so. This also helps with RAM Usage.
