Just had a game where my Jungle connected at 2:58, and my top lane left at 13 minutes

Why am I still losing LP for this

Why is there not an agreement before 20 minutes that asks both teams to disband the game if people have left or are AFK after the 3 minute mark.

The team asking to disband the game will receive no LP, however, the opposing team will be granted 10 LP for time wasted.

There is already a remake thing tho...

you missed the part where the system wouldnt alow him to remake, because the idiot reconnected before 3min.

Which is really complete garbage. The system should allow remakes all the way from when minions spawn. any tie after that they come back, the team is at an unfair advantage.

Remakes works so that 1 guy needs to be not conneted for AT LEAST 1:30 minutes (90 seconds) before the 3:00 minutes mark and the guy did NOT disconnet after his team gave a first blood. So in this case he was disconetted for 2:58 (178 seconds), the game could've been a remake.

OP probably messed up describing what happened.

Either way, if someone leaves at the 13 minute mark, it's still not fair to lose a bunch of LP for it. If you ask me, make the guy who left the game lose LP, the opposing team gain half the LP they would've got for a full win, and everyone else not gain or lose any. It's completely a fair compromise.

But poeple will complain "well gee in a duo one guy will always leave if they are losing early". Which will be very effective in gaming the system so that both of them will climb faster than otherwise.

so either ALL the people in the group lose LP, or the person who left needs to lose double LP, or something. maybe only lose double, if not solo

I don't see how that games the system though. The guy who leaves loses LP, and his friends gain nothing (At the end of the day, they just waste their own time). Good luck asking your friend to throw away his LP to be the one to leave the game, I don't think I know anyone who would be willing to do that.

I mean, if I duo'd with a guy who's power went out because of a storm, I wouldn't want to be the only other person to lose LP for that. It wasn't malicious. The guy I duo'd with should not have queued up if he knew a storm was coming and that storms had a history of knocking out his power (And thus should lose LP) :P

I think losing double LP is too rough of a consequence especially for the storm scenario I just mentioned. Again, it wasn't a malicious intention. A compromise could be to make it affect their MMR as well as losing LP. If they knew they would lose more LP for future losses, and gain less LP for future wins, I can't see anyone ever disconnecting just so they don't have to finish a game they're losing early.

Math. they need to teach it in schools :P

4 games normal way. 2 wins 2 losses

lets say they both lose 2x15, and both gain 2x15

4 games abusive way. 2 wins 2 losses. they trade off bailing at 13mins on the losses.

lose 15, lose 0, gain 2x15 So they are both 15 LP ahead now, for going 50/50 win/los

Obviously that's the case. But you're neglecting the loss of MMR, and the risking of temp bans/bans for doing this. Can it be gamed once or twice, sure, it probably could. But habitual AFK/DC'ers do get banned in this game with enough reports. Not to mention low priority queue.

In the long run, it just isn't worth it.

ah the dodge penalties. i had forgotten about those.

perhaps you are right.

You can remake if a player has been AFK for 1:30 before 3:00.

Reconnecting at 2:58 wouldn't have stopped the remake.
