should i drop doran ring for blue pot now that is 250 gold? specifically for syndra since her ability cd are quite short like kats

If you're looking to get an early kill I'd say it could be a good buy. But I mean you'd have to make it very worth it. Like, be a plat player in a normal queue and see you're against a bronze player. Doran's provides health, mana regen, ap, and a mana regen passive that promotes good last hitting (as if you didn't have enough reason to). Red potion gives extra health, and if you remember back when you could buy that and potions, it was a great build on early damage champs. The surprise burst of health coupled with damage was a free kill. Blue potion does NOT give this health bonus. So you'd have to be using that ap and cdr to enough affect that it could equal/be better than the doran's benefits. Just my thoughts. I'm only gold so I'm sure someone else could tell you better.

The item 2039 isn't going to be available at level 1 once the pre-season changes go live. I'm trying not to get into habits that I'll have to change relatively soon.
