See, that wouldn't work at all. Partly because of smurf accounts. For instance, on my jungle main account, I don't play mid laners often. On this account I main mid and rarely play jg. But I can play Rek'Sai as well on this account as I can on my jungle account, although according to op.gg I have no experience on Rek.
i dont think smurph accounts should be actively supported to be honest.
they skew the entire ladder system. i mean every season we have people who have multiple accounts in master and challenger and take up multiple of the limited spots that other players should be able to take.
in no serious competitive sport can the same contestant take up multiple spots on the ladder.
not only that, but smurph accounts are so common, that theyre consistently screwing with the integrity of games at pretty much every single rating except for the highest tiers of play.
while were talking, there are people being carried into mmr that they dont belong in due to the existence of a much higher rated smurph on their team, while the opposing team basically gets scammed out of a fair chance to win the game at the mmr theyre playing at.
doesnt that just seem wrong to you?
it doesnt seem like riot can really prevent the existence of smurph accounts, since they can be hard to identify. but i dont think they should be taken into any form of consideration when it comes to changes to the ranked system overall.
so if you want to make a smurph to play ranked games on, youd just have to deal with the fact that youd need to put in extra efford and rank up multiple champions to a certain mastery grade to even start playing in competitive ques with that account.
while its tue, that you can have a very high mastery score on a champion and still suck with it, this would still prevent those cases where people blindly pick new released or reworked champions into a ranked game without even reading up on their abilities and their tooltips first. this is something that happens at every mmr whenever a champion is newly released and reworked, and people usually suck ass with these champions.
theyre usually just responding with the excuse of "i just wanted to try him".
its the main reason you will find these champions banned from ranked games for the first two weeks of release. this can lead to a lot of toxicity because of people rightfully banning these champions out from their teammates (most people want to maximize their chances of winning), and the guy who showed pick intent for the champion already tilting before the game even starts or worse, sabotaging the game in retaliation.
plus, i dont think we should be forced to waste a ban slot on these champions every single time a new release happens, just to prevent out teammates from doing something irresponsible and stupid.
