Bronze forever

I can't singly carry 5 people and I'm too stubborn to switch roles I want top adc but no matter what I could never get any protection as an adc. Zero protection means I'm a sitting duck from any assassin that wants to kill me.

Position correctly and you wont need it.

That's terrible advice.

"I can't carry the team coach, what can i do?"

"Throw touchdowns"

"Oh, ok"

Even if you position properly you need peel. People dive you non stop. You either have to wait out champions to blow their shit on others then enter the fight or hope to god someone will follow up with that guy shitting down your throat. - ADC main.

Yeah it hurts so much when I play adc now because I swear people will choose an assassin just to beat me.

Woook3r1 votes

this isnt true at all. Being in auto attack range puts you in harms way even if you are using jinx rockets.

creatureplex1 votes

Yeah it's now almost essential to get rapid fire cannon because people litterly are so stupid that they'll commit suicide just trying to kill you and it works because people doesn't realize look at that assassin oh well he's not going after me it's like they don't register it and say wait assassin shit he's going after my marksman team fall back protect our marksman kill that bitch when they do fall back they kill assassin then they get to watch me clear their team like it's nothing. Everyone is all about themselves and I don't blame them because bronze level people suck and they depend on their teammates but it makes it hard to be an adc because of it because as an adc we need protection the more protection we have the better our chances of winning a team fight.

Play lucian 1 v 5 them because lucian is braindead easy. Even bronze people can carry on this champion~

I don't like his kit, he's not my kind of champion.

You're not going to want to hear this, but the problem most likely lies with you. If you're unable to climb out of your rank, it is because, at some level, you are doing something incorrectly. I heard a great saying once...

In a game of league, your team may make 100 mistakes. Only 10 of those may be yours. Maybe even 5 of them. But if you focus on the 95 mistakes your team makes rather than the 5 you make, it will keep you from climbing.

That being said, I also ran into issues--I hit a brick wall at one point (14 game loss streak) that made me reconsider what champion I was playing (moved from playing tanky supports to damage-oriented supports like Zyra), and I was able to break through the wall. You may need to consider your champion selection as part of your problem. If you can't rely on peel, don't pick a hyper carry like vayne/jinx/kog maw. Play somebody like Graves that has better durability and an escape, play Lucian (who also has an escape) Corki, etc. You can also pick Ashe (for additional team utility so you can contribute from across the map while farming to do damage) or pick tristana (has a reliable escape, and is very good at taking objectives, so you can contribute to your team even if you can't regularly team-fight).

Climbing is about adapting and making the best of what you have available. In Bronze, people underestimate the value of towers and objectives, and death-balls are frequent, which means split pushing is a good strategy. Abuse that. And while you may want to main one particular champion (or champions) there are unfortunately times where you need to just shake up your champion pool if nothing is working. The last thing you should do is focus on "not ever getting protection" or "team-mates never peel for me". That's not helpful. You have zero control over whether or not people peel for you. What you do have control over is how YOU play, what champions YOU select, and how YOU position in a teamfight. Turn the lens on yourself, first; and that includes examining your champion choices.

I do get what you are saying but what I try doing now I try picking a champion that synergizes better hence ashe with braum miss fortune and twitch with morgana and tristana with leona are my first go to though there are champions like all 4 of my adcs match well with blitzcrank so I look to also counter my opponent while not getting counter myself. For example though I might add more to it to better pick a champion like picking miss fortune against a team that has yasuo would be really bad and going with another adc might better.

You have to learn to stay WAYYYYY out of the fight until you can safely put some DPS out.

Bronze is terrible at peeling for carries.

creatureplex1 votes

Yeah but then my team dies and it's me vs 5 people :(

creatureplex1 votes

I mean I look at this last game, and I was tilted from the start going against an Annie that naturally bullies the shit out of me so I can't cs worth a damn or risk giving her a kill my support Braum didn't share that and kept dying. There Fizz is completely dominating Cho'Gath at top lane like completely our Lee Sin is getting his ass handed to him by a Shyvana counter jungling. Our mid Ereal was losing but not dying to Zed, and I'm sitting here just like God why me. Now did I make mistakes yes probably mostly because I was on tilt but still I don't really think as an Ashe I could of won this game for my team. Now given I only lost 11 lp for this lost so it's obvious that we weren't expected to win this match, but it still sucks because it's one more loss.

Well I have the same problem, but im starting to carry more games and ill tell you what I did to start winning more.

  1. You know how you want to go farm bot lane at like 15-20 min, but every time you try to go farm someone immediately comes from halfway or more across the map to kill you? Ok well dont do that anymore. Start farming the jungle more. Like when the first teamfight of the game is about to happen, push your lane and get as much gold as you can. Then run past krugs or gromp and kill it as fast as possible. Then maybe kill wolves too if you can sustain. Then show up right before the teamfight and do your normal thing.

  2. Learn to farm with 30% attack speed in your runes.

  3. Not everything is your fault. Just cause you spend 10 seconds killing gromp and your team goes from safely clearing waves under tower to dying in the middle of the lane while you do that does not mean you shouldnt have done gromp. Your team shouldnt have fought without you and you were farming 100 gold during those 10 seconds. Thats worth.

  4. Last whisper is a really good item to have. Dont forget to buy it if there is a tank on their team (unless all of their tanks are feeding).

I would also start playing ashe. She is really good man. And then she gets even better when you realize how easy it is to hit ppl with your ult. You just aim for the entrances to the jungle. Shes also not super hard last hit with if you have an attack speed page instead of an ad page.

Im still in bronze. I dont claim to have really high rank, but I am playing with gold and plat a lot more in my normal games. Farming the jungle and changing to attack speed runes was super important for me. I dont feel weak on adc anymore.

Edit: I looked at your games and your farm is either pretty good, not great, or its really really bad...and I think thats the main reason you are having trouble.

creatureplex1 votes

Actually my cs is higher than normal last game wasn't a good example for me I was bullied by an annie and couldn't cs it happens sometimes. Problem with your runes that's too much attack speed that's sacrificing too much mr/armor/ad is essential you need those things to ditch out your damage and I do play ashe she's one of the 4 adcs I do play as.

Boulderox1 votes

just spam Volibear... you just build tank with voli and can never be caught or killed while your w is an execute % missing hp according to gg he has ~55% win rate alone THIS PATCH

creatureplex1 votes

Yeah I don't like Volibear I play champions I can learn that I like to play as, I don't play the strongest champions because it's not fun to me.

Boulderox1 votes

i know and i feel that way too, but at the end of they day you want to win... and if it is 10 easier to play Annie mid and win than any other mage (cus it is lets be honest). why not break it and raise in ranks.... I personally don't because I am like you, and stubborn.... but there are plenty of people that take advantage of very simple low risk high reward champs that do better because of it :/

creatureplex1 votes

Yeah true but you can rank with other champions you just gotta get better with them like Gangplank he's a bitch to learn took me about 30 something games before I felt confident in using him now I am and I now dominate top lane a lot because of it. But what's the point in ranking up if you don't like the champion your playing as let alone what's the point of even playing the game if you don't like them the 10 champs I used I like their kits I like what they can do, it's not just winning to me anyways.

Boulderox1 votes

how do the pros feel? they may want to use x champ but they HAVE to use any and all power picks to win because that is what they want to do WIN. I really don't feel pros don't have fun, and sometimes i feel high ranking streamers don't have fun.. they just do what they can to stay on top :/ dyrus is proof of that...

Actually from what I read if you haven't noticed, lcs doesn't use a lot of assassins, why because assassins really only purpose is to assassinate the ad and ap. Which is vital but in really high leagues it's hard to kill people like impossibly hard but for solo que those champions that aren't viable in lcs are useful in solo que hence Yasuo when's the last time you've seen the lcs use him? There's a reason for this, doesn't make them useless just the pro version of this game is completely different than solo que. We don't do stuff like lane swapping or setting up early game plays. We have more of an early game while the LCS tend to shape towards a rush to mid game. It's a completely different game while some have fun doing that I wouldn't I like my ashe, my twitch, my miss fortune, and my tristana, my trundle tank, warwick tank too much. I wouldn't be able to be pro but I'm okay with that I wish riot would make every champion in this game viable instead of just a group of like 40 champions almost 200 yet only a small pocket of champions are actually useful it's sad. I like more variety instead of seeing the same champions over and over again, makes the game less fun when you are always playing against the same set of champions, which is why I like solo que I play many different champions sometimes there are those power picks even in low que and I pick my bans just for that Yasuo, Garen, etc.... champions just because I get annoyed of playing against them because of how powerful I've seen people be with them.
