Most "shock and awe" styled champ?

xDogMeatx··1 votes·1,074 views

I need help in the most "shock and awe" military tactic champ that does put psychological fear into an enemy due to the massive control/threat they can/will produce. Any champs ring a bell that i can possibly main i feel that is my calling in terms of champion efficiency/roleplay. i mean those ones that rain pain from far away and aoe pretty good. (i know brand and ziggs are ones that do this) if theres more i wanna know.

So I'll put these in a few categories -- Initiation threats frighten people because of the powerful engages and follow--ups they bring. Fight Threats create kill-zones in combat you need to flee from. Assassination threats scare enemies out of position.

Initiation Threats: Jarvan IV, Malphite, Galio, Sion

Fight Threats: Irelia, Jax, Darius, Illaoi

Assassination Threats: Evelynn, Rengar, Pyke, Nocturne

I agree with Darius and Illaoi, I'd also add Urgot in there too. If I'm not sure of his ult being on/off cooldown, I play like a complete punk. I'll almost never take a trade even if I'm above 70% HP, haha.

Urgot's a strong choice, yeah. Can't believe I forgot about him! Mordekaiser too, actually, 'cause that ult is dangerous.

If I see a Mordekaiser with DH/Resolve or the Twin Shadows/Glacial Augment build, it turns into a complete farm lane for me. No chance I'll ever win fights against that monster T_T

honestly urgot only needs a reset on his ult if he succeeds (only one reset is allowed otherwise its op) but nerf his passive damage as compensation

i did say i wanted to rain pain from far away and good aoe to boot that would make them feared to face. but those are good choices though to categorize it. any ideas?

Anivia Zyra Fiddlesticks Heimerdinger Azir are the control champs I can think of. Fiddles is the least of those, but I think his ult makes up for it.

Any fed assassin would also be on that least. Especially Katarina because she can 1v5 if you are fed and know what you are doing. Twitch works out of the ADC role with the range of his ult and the surprise factor he has. Irelia would be a top champion and JarvanIV would work out of the jungle.

A good Anivia is always scary to go against, her zoning abilities and the potential her wall gives makes her one of the most terrifying AOE champions to fight against. If you're a melee champion, good luck getting to her/away from her without blowing flash.

I would also have to say Annie for her ability to melt everything in her path and Xerath's poke that makes everyone play farther back in lane. If we're talking psychological fear, Evelynn and Pyke come to mind. After 6, Evelynn puts everyone on edge regardless of their lane and Pyke's reliable roaming is also pretty terrifying when you hear his Ghostwater Dive as he gets closer.

Just the idea that those champions could show up at any time in any place is enough to make people change up their playstyles entirely.

My personal favorite, is Malzahar, Malzahar He is relevantly forgotten about which is nice, so you can get through the ban phase just fine. His q, with the right runes, has close to a second cooldown, so its very spam-able which is terrifying to face. It has good range, and it silences, and it does a crazy amount of damage. Its relevantly easy to hit too. Moreover, his voidlings, once again with the same runes has such a short cooldown, that they can tank objectives. I've solod baron before, and also taken tower. His e is the bread and butter of the kit. It is IMPOSSIBLE to outseige a malzahar. Ive had to defend mid towers in a one vs four before, but they never even got the chance to tower dive me because their wave never crashes. one E, Q, then W your full health, more cs, and you just wasted all of their time. Plus, their enemy jungler, MasterYi, is fed? doesnt matter he can't even get to you.

Xerath

The artillery general, commanding the flow of battle from the back line.

A good Xerath is a beast, and you always scramble when you see that Area Of Engagement circle of his expand outwards.
