Morde VS Nasus Bot

So why not take Nasus instead of Morde bot? I realize that Morde gets the dragon bonus but let me break down both kits for you:

Nasus:

P: Lifesteal, good for sustain - rather than taking up an ability slot, it's a passive. It can get to the point that he can ignore people if he is ahead. If you built even one lifesteal item on Nasus it gets ridiculous. Q: Nuke, scale to infinite - you're a juggernaut essentially that when you do reach your target - you will absolutely massacre them. W: Slow, a slow that scales so hardcore that all you have to do is apply it to enemy ADC in lane and call for a gank - easy kill. Or kill the support that lacks a dash. Overall, this ability is much more powerful IMO than Mordes ability. E: AOE AP Damage. It's meh, you really don't wanna use it in lane otherwise you'll push. R: AOE AP Damage - regularly procs and gives a major boost in HP

Morde:

P: Shield that scales with your HP. Makes you tankier, sort of, it'll pretty much pop after like 1 quarter of an ability or half an auto attack from an ADC. P: Dragon gimmick. Gimmick is very gimmicky, because it's a gimmick. Q: Nuke that gradually hit harder. Doesn't scale infinitely. W: Movement speed, sustain, damage that is very depending. Allies can use it to escape or move in quicker. E: AOE Hit, consider it useless later on into the game other than waveclear, giving you a shield that will decay when you dance around a lane or jungle for it to decay. R: AOE DOT - Kill somebody, take their soul. This is an impossibly strong ability that sucks the absolute life out of the power budget that morde holds. Put the power budget right up along with the dragon and MOST of your power budget is based around the ultimate and the passive abilities.

Both of these champions are weak against: Caitlyn Lucian Kalista Thresh Rakan Xayah Ezreal Corki Quinn Vayne Kennen Alistar Morgana Karma Lulu

Both of these champions excel at playing against: Jinx MissFortune KogMaw Sivir Varus Urgot Ashe TahmKench Braum Ivern Nami

Both of these champions work well with ally support: Soraka Sona Janna Zilean

Both champions lack the abiltity to compete against marksman - I am not saying that Morde or Nasus are meta or even 'good' picks, let's be honest here - both of those picks are absolutely awful. BUT.

If you were to pick Nasus or Morde? I'd pick Nasus.

Morde has his W that also helps his lane partner to get out of dire situations or to reach him when he chases and it also heals the partner.

Why not both?

Bot could use some variance and some melee outliers who manage to make it in. The more we break down that meta, the better the game will be for it. Variety is the spice of life!

But Nasus, since he isn't already.

Because the moment you do:

  1. You'll be flamed
  2. Teamates instantly tilt, either you'll be dodged - auto filled and then repeat this process over and over again with very few games that allow you to play like that.
  3. You'll be falsely reported, which people will use against you just to threaten you throughout the game - you can't actually get banned (In some cases, you can be banned. Singed support / Nunu Support)

If you're different, people don't like you. It's a dogma world and if you go against the wind, you'd better be ready for the cuts that it'll bring unto you.

Listen, flaming is all these people can do. It's bush league 'insulting' flung by teenagers in a desperate attempt to make me see their viewpoint. Which wouldn't need insults to be valid, if it were valid in the first place. Which they know. Which is what defines them as young.

It's the admission that divides them, you know?

I don't think that's a product of players, though, I think that's a problem with the meta. These aren't good picks typically because a lot of ADCs when paired with a good tank can cover a lot of ground. The meta heavily supports the ranged bot, even a mage, before it supports melee. There are of course ones who work, and I bet with a melee like Nasus you could open up your options regarding who supports you. There's all sorts of sleeper stuff. But it'd take practice to make it work right and build right. And the problem, is you can just pick an ADC and be done.

As for that Singed story, it was a dude who played Proxy Singed-- which is your team's Singed, in the enemy jungle, but throwing their lane so they're never worth bounty, or some other obtuse operation-- and didn't reach out to enlighten his team. He got banned because he pulled a really weird-ass move and didn't bring his team up to speed. This is why I say-- the ones who never type, their keyboards must be broken, 'cuz holy shit.

You can play literally anything. Just don't int, and if it's going to be 'strange' then just tell your team what you're up to and how you plan to make it work. You might not make a good impression, but you won't get banned for it.

Which is why I want melees bot-- it's one less thing to flame over, really.

Yeah, I applied Soraka jungle and support top Illaoi.

I won.

Problem with it?

Dodge,

Auto filled.

Tried it again,

dodged again,

Auto filled again

Repeat this like 3-4 times and I finally got to do it with a cooperative team. We won.

So yeah you CAN play anything. But your team is always going to act like a bunch of rabid wolves that got raised by Hitler and Stalin at the same time, while also being pumped full of steroids to ensure complete and total rage in most civil situations. I don't even think it is LoL I think it is the willingness that people have to just totally and completely forget that other human beings are on the other side of the screen. I guess people just naturally lack honor eh?

Obviously man-- everything's slowly leaning into this kiddie-gloved society while the internet is taking off at rapid speeds, and nobody listened to us when we were young and we were like, "THIS IS SEWIOUS" and how right we were. The problem is a lot of people-- even our parents-- think it's nothing more than a little toy you give to your kids. Problem is, if you wanted to define it in a word, it's basically a culture.

The reality of these people, whether we like to admit it or not, is probably less that they're actually like that. They're probably very average and don't reflect those behaviors at all. The internet is a seamless outlet for all that kind of aggressive behavior, because these people who run around using racial and homophobic slurs on the internet would be far more liable to incur consequence off the internet, doing the exact same thing (using those words in casual reference to total strangers).

Christ, though, far be it from anyone to imply that. It seems like touching on that point hits the chord where discussion completely stops and the reactions are just pure vitriol. The only real conclusion is that there's actually no reason other than that there's some artificial need to do it because of the outlet-- that is, if they were disconnected from the internet (we'll assume this to be a fair majority of the players) they would not be affected by it and start treating people like they do on the internet.

My theory? There is indeed a small demographic of absolute poison somewhere in the back corner of the game that seeps out just enough to influence the 'general reaction' of the playerbase-- the actual 'toxicity' is just present enough to make the notion of it being present a big enough worry to create a predisposition. People respond with toxicity, expecting the attitude of toxicity to be present and they're not always wrong. Some people just start shit because they can.

But at the risk of getting too far off topic, a lot of these things could be resolved if less things were just instantly less viable by way of the meta existing in such a state. I don't exactly know how the meta might be lightened up, but I think it needs to feel more open-ended as to who can flourish where. Not like, totally open, but there can be some more strange outliers.

I think one part of the problem is that range can have such a huge advantage in top lane, which makes it a challenge to ensure ranged types they make don't just become uberQuinn. Likewise, that tanks who run bot don't carry the damage too and end up doubling up on their carry's damage output too. There's a lot of things that can't happen really, and my problem is I find them easier to identify over reasons things should.

Mordekaiser W gives bonus experience which allows him to do extra well in duo lane. I think Nasus bot works well though. Easier to farm as well because you have a support that can back you up.

I totally forgot about the solo lane experience - I just thought that they got rid of it? With the limited amount of chances I've seen Morde bot - he usually isn't ahead in level. Well I mean, he usually just gets stomped bot - but that's besides the point, I'm sure he won somewhere in my game history.
