Shaco; Gameplay Update/Changes
I will have after thoughts on my ideas, so I am just going to get into things!
Deceive: Ranks: 1/6/11/16 levels Whenever Shaco casts a spell he will instantly stealth for 0.5/1/1.5/2 seconds and gains 35% bonus movement speed while stealth.
Additionally Shaco ignores all unit collision and reduces damage from monsters by 25%, excluding Dragon and Baron Nashor.
Practical Joke (Q): Cooldown: 1.5 seconds; Cost: 60 Mana; Range: 750 units Passive: Shaco's basic attacks deal 10/15/20/25/30(+15%AP) bonus magic damage on-hit. This bonus magic damage is doubled if he attacks an enemy from behind.
Active: Shaco places a visible motionless clone of himself at the target location for up to 60 seconds that will also stealth whenever Shaco will stealth from Deceive. Shaco may store up to 3 clones at one time which requires 18/16/14/12/10 seconds to make one clone and these clones will do different things based on how it was detonated:
If Shaco's or Hallucinate's basic attack detonates the clone then it will deal 100% base Attack Damage plus 60/90/120/150/180(+60%AP) magic damage to enemies in an 400-unit area around it. If Two-Shiv Poison detonates the clone then 50% of the damage is applied plus 40/55/70/85/100(+20%AP) magic damage and slow all enemies struck by 50/55/60/65/70% for 2 seconds. If a minion or monster detonates the clone then it will deal 120/170/220/270/320(+100%AP) magic damage to nearby enemy minions and monsters and half this damage to nearby enemy champions. If an enemy champion detonates the clone then that champion takes 70/80/90/100/110% of the attacker's own Attack Damage and 40/45/50/55/60% of the attacker's own Ability Power as magic damage and applies a debuff to the attacker for the next 2 seconds that causes all the attacker's damage to be reduced by 20/25/30/35/40% that the attacker deals.
Jack In The Box (W): Cooldown: 16 seconds; Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 Mana; Range: 425 units Shaco summons a box at the target location that stealth after a 2 second delay and lasts for up to 60 seconds. When an enemy comes within 300 units, the box springs open: causing surrounding enemies to turn and flee for 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds while it attacks nearby enemies for up to 5 seconds.
Jack In The Box's attacks deal 15/35/55/75/95(+20%AP) magic damage and an additional 20(+5%AP) magic damage against minions and monsters. Multiple boxes, beyond the first, attacking the same target at the same time deal 40% damage.
Two-Shiv Poison (E): Cooldown: 8 seconds; Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana; Range: 625 units Passive: Shaco's basic attacks slow their targets by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds while Two-Shiv Poison is off cooldown.
Active: Shaco throws a dagger at an enemy to deal 60/100/140/180/220(+80%AP) magic damage and slow the target by 25/30/35/40/45% for 3 seconds. If the dagger strikes the enemy from behind the magic damage increases to 90/150/210/270/330(+120%AP) magic damage.
Hallucinate (R): Cooldown: 100/90/80 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana Shaco vanishes for 0.5 seconds, then creates a clone of himself that will last for up to 18 seconds. The clone deals 75% of Shaco's base Attack Damage and on-hit effects and receives 50% extra damage. This clone deals 50% damage to towers and inhibitors. At the end of its duration or when dying the clone will explode, dealing 300/450/600(+100%AP) magic damage to enemies within 250-range.
"But Stacona you removed attack damage Shaco..." exactly! Okay so Shaco is a really weird champion with very unhealthy gameplay to him, very old and outdated elements in his kit, and a balance headache with his current kit. I removed the attack damage half to him because ability power is easier to balance, and the attack damage half has no good healthy aspects to him it will only be good on a chaotic solo queue level; especially against players that do not know what they are doing.
Okay so with all this said he has the clones, deceptive mind gaming theme, and jack in the boxes for super cool and unique gameplay elements. But the biggest thing that needed to go was the blink and stealth ability, this has absolutely no counter play to it and creates Shaco as a cheese champion on top of Jack in the Box stacking; these are elements I want to fix. So one thing I did was remove the blink, but kept his stealth so he can have that tricky and deceptive gameplay while hopefully having better counter play with the blink removed.
Deceive (Passive): Technically this was his Q - so the Backstab amp damage is just a problem balancing, but I kept the Backstab mechanic within his kit but directly attached to his spells for better balancing. So this Deceive is a bunch of short duration burst stealths and movement speed to quickly come in and out of combat for that deceptive gameplay (and annoyance factor); so this is to try to give Shaco better gameplay against him while of course still be deceptive. The reduced damage against monsters is because he has a mechanic that has a miss chance when monsters and minions attack him on Two-Shiv Poison which is a very old and outdated mechanic so a damage reduction against monsters helps him survive the jungle- I removed the minion portion because reducing minion damage will lead to exploit cases (like invincibility while proxy minion waves).
Practical Joke (Q): Besides a lot more fine tuning to this idea, it adds tricky, deception, and have you always thinking what you would do as Shaco with the motionless clones and wondering what Shaco will do with the clones and which clone is Shaco or even Hallucinate "press S - press ALT+S".
Jack In The Box (W): Okay this is his coolest unique spell, but has a history of poor gameplay attached to it. So the changes is less damage against champions for the early ranks to try to prevent cheap early game cheese (cheese is not a real strategy people, it is just unhealthy gameplay), but not effect the damage to monsters. Also new mechanic when more than one jack in the box attacking the same target beyond the first deals 40% damage meaning 2 boxes will deal 140% damage instead of 200% damage- this is to prevent the overwhelming box stacking in a brush and forces Shaco to strategic place his boxes which is the super cool aspect to him.
Two-Shiv Poison (E): Basically the same spell, the bonus attack damage ratio is removed and the back stab mechanic is directly added to the spell. Off cooldown means if you use the active you no longer passively get the slow on-hit the mechanic has not changed at all just clarifying my wording.
Hallucinate (R): Same spell - I made it indicate being 75% base attack damage instead of 75% damage as well as on-hit effects (obviously not sheen effects, but he currently can apply on-hits effects with his ultimate's clone).
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think in a kind manner!
