How do smurfs climb through the ranks?

I've been trying to get to gold but I keep getting stuck between Silver 1 and Silver 2. I can't see what more I could possibly do to win a game. When I win my lane (which is most of the time) I go ahead and spread my success to other lanes. When we get a lead my teammates just want to 1v5 and lose it. When I play Nunu jungle I can get a lane 2 kills with 2 ganks and then they throw the lead somehow. When our bot lane dies and the enemy starts taking jungle, I trade drag for rift herald. I have good judgements on what do do but people just ignore my pings. Even when I am a fed carry role my being fed gets out weighed by my teammates poor decision making. When I get fed and we have a competent team, who listens to my pings and actually have good judgement we auto win. But with people who just want to 1v5 and and throw the leads I give them, when I spread my success they somehow manage to throw it.

I watch TfBlade's stream and I try to analyze what he is doing differently. Ofc he's better at the game than me, but I can't see him doing anything much different than I'm doing except he is winning his games (he often gets unwinnable games) and I also don't think he plays all his games on stream.

Can a smurf or a higher ranked player please tell me what more I can do? My mechanical skill and judgement is definitely there. Just to make it easier here's a list of things I do in my games.

  • I try to spread my success to other lanes by showing up in their lane and ganking them when my wave is pushed.
  • When I jungle, I get successful ganks and try to gank the lane that will potentially carry a game.
  • When the enemy bot lane is dead I ping dragon and get my team to follow me too it.
  • If I can't contest dragon, I take rift herald.
  • Before a teamfight, I know we want the waves to be pushing in our favor so we can actually get something out of the fight.
  • I try to get 2 lanes pushing towards the enemies towers so we can rotate and take a tower, and it makes it much easier to siege rather than 5v5 under their tower.
  • I make sure to have vision of rift herald or baron and drag.

I do these things in game but the causes of my loses most of the time are teammates bad positioning and decision making which is the real killer. I'm the one no matter what role I play who stops the split pushes because no one else will do it and when I ping other because it is important to stay with the team they ignore me and the towers fall and we have just been standing around with the enemy mid.

Any advice?

Best advice youre going to get: When thinking about why you lose stop thinking about anything that shifts blame to your teammates.

Here's how you can climb to gold and further:

  1. Stop playing jungle and AD. Play Top and Mid (respectively)

  2. Play 1 champion, preferably one that can influence the game with macro and isn't hard to learn mechanically.

  3. Learn how to absolutely destroy in laning through wave management and knowing your champions limits. (The red line)

  4. /mute all

well since they are smurfs they arnt meant to be in that elo they are much better than the rest of the people in that game so its very easy for them. The reason they get out of those elos is simply because they just better at the game. People say do this do that play this play that but in reality the way you climb is just getting better at the game and the way to do that is keeping a clear head tilting only makes you play worse and makes it much more difficult to criticize yourself.

by the few things you've listed I can tell you are by no means a bad player you have a good understanding on what you need to do so maybe what your issue is is how you play fights out like

Are you CCing the right target? Are you building optimally for that game? Are you setting up your runes to help you best for that game? Are you keeping a close eye on your carry(s) make sure they dont gave jumped on (good tip that i do if I'm playing a tank that isnt amazing at peeling a carry is i buy a item 3109 for them if they dont have one already item 3190 is a very under rated item and only seen as a item for supports) Are you layering your CC and not stacking CC on top of eachother? Are you positioning correctly?

some advice looking at your recent games with Jinx yes Lethality Jinx is fun but its not the best way you can play her she is one of the BEST adcs at consistent DPS if you get ahead with jinx going attack speed crit is FAR FAR FAAAR more useful to the team than a fed lethality jinx

just think about league shit when you play league. think out loud if it helps

what items should you build? rationalise them

where should you move on the map? rationalise the action

how should you attempt to solo kill your lane? it's below diamond so get busy on theorycrafting that constantly or you know nothing about your champions.

what drakes are you interested in getting? look at your comp, look at their comp, decide which drakes you must contest.

figure out your win condition in the loading screen. WISOTT

do not be late to spawn.

cover jungle entrances at lvl 1, always always do this, it will stop games being lost in the first minute. got someone being lazy to cover? go cover it yourself.

farm harder

ward harder

outplay harder. if you are not fucking opting in to 1v2's below mid gold then you're clowning yourself, wtf you doing? you even trying to get good>?? never gonna get good playing like a pussy below mid gold.

and finally fundamentals get your fundamentals up. like shit i play on 200ms, i fucking get baffled when i see some of these kids with their 32ms local ping and they got shit mechanics. wtf man how? ya'll gotta do a training arc on katarina or some shit, get your mechanics up man, you should be able to brute force out of silver with just mechanics but i'm giving you the full cheat sheet here instead and i don't even know why. mechanics, you get better mechanics by playing harder, get the mechanics going then you'll be gucci and can start thinking about other game stuff when it clicks for you how the mechanics in this game are fundamentally setup. and no, playing all the champions to a barely serviceable level won't teach you mehonixx, just pick 3 of em with the aim being to play 2 of them only and pay attention to what you and other players on those champions do cause more often than not "oh wow i didn't know that was possible" will be going through your mind if you're paying close enough attention to the different players and their understandings of the kit. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER or some cliche like that Heimerdinger

I’m going through the same ordeals and thoughts right now friend. Currently, I am just focusing on cutting down on my deaths. I figure the first step is to not die so much and give the enemy free gold, especially shut down gold I usually have. I also need to get out of a bad habit of dying because I want to save people making bad decisions. That guy that dies 15 times in a match is going to die 15 times, I finally just told myself I am not adding to the pile anymore. I have gone through so many junglers just trying to find something that works, my only big success being Xin Zhao. Apparently Vi and Jarvan are good too, but I hate diving in now a days... everything kills you in 3 seconds and your team will just literally watch you die 2 cm away. I miss playing Amumu and Nunu, but I just had to rely on my team too much.

If you figure something out let me know, I’ll keep you in mind if I figure anything out too lol

I watched TF Blade climb through low elo easy without any losses. And no matter how hard I look, I really can't see what he is doing to win these games. It almost looks as if he is being matched more favorably and he never gets the r%%%%%ed trash ass team mates we get. I want to believe that's not true but it's so fuckin hard to see what it is exactly that he and other smurfs do to win these games. It's not like they get giga-fed every game and 1v9.
