Riot : We aren't forcing a meta

Also Riot : nerfs summoner 7 summoner 21 summoner 12 , buffs summoner 14 Also Riot : shafts damage everywhere in the domination tree, being by far the most picked tree Also Riot : item 3147 leaves it in the same broke state for so long and releases item 3095 with near the same effect Also Riot : revert the most toxic assassin kits, when they've been reworked for being toxic (Leblanc Rengar ) Also Riot : clearly says "we're looking for more diversity in the botlane by over-nerfing marksmen" Also Riot : nerf mages waveclear and mana regen "because there isn't enough interaction in lane" Also Riot : "gold funneling isn't healthy so we gonna make it unviable by making jungle item crippling junglers (in fact it's because we don't like it) Also Riot : buffing assassins because "enchanters shield too much", and then nerfing every single shield and leaving assassins in the same state Also Riot : nerfing Talon late game damage when his issue is his "level 2 powerspike one shot" that isn't even being adressed

By that logic, doesn't ANY action enforce a meta? I don't think they are enforcing a meta, but people are just going to find the most effective way to play...hence why it is called meta.

Riot HAS been enforcing metas and killing player innovative metas lately...then again how can the community come with clever ideas of metas if the fucking game gets patched so often its fucking ridiculus, have you seen doublelifts video about this?

I have, what I also remember back in the day were the complaints about how Riot doesn't major patch often enough and instead leaves things broken, so people will complain no matter what on that matter. My point stands, you do realize that there will be a meta no matter what, what can they do to NOT "enforce" a meta?

Leaving things broken is not the same as major patches. Take the latest outrage that was very substantial. Ardent meta. Riot could have actually nerfed the item at any point in time during about 5 months. That's not a major patch that's nerfing something that's op.

That's not the same a reworking half the game every two weeks.

My question still hasn't been answered, what can they do to not "enforce" a meta?

Oh. I am not arguing that tHey in some Manor enforce a meta (in the sense that overbearing picks get nerfed and so on) however I was simply disagreeing with the idea that huge volume changes were what the community was asking for when they wanted blatantly opressive stuff like ardent nerfed in a reasonable time frame.

Altho things like ap ezreal (which were never oppressive as much as simply viable) have been repeatedly nerfed Everytime it was played. Same with ap kog (which I agree may have been a bit oppressive at 6 items) but all in all was rather balanced. All of these get nerfs instead of balance changes allowing them to exist.

So, nerf things, but only when they are overbearing for a decent amount of time, but not too long then to make sure it isn't a change that the community needs to naturally adapt to?

I can't agree with those two, I don't like long range artillery champions to that degree can not be oppressive, but that is just me.

AP kog is IMO one of the funnest champs you can play.

Even now he can be pretty oppressive but not until you hit level 16, which by that time the game could already be over.
