When 2 people go bot in Dominion...

Why do you do this to me? Please tell me. It NEVER works. We lose the teamfight at top because we're missing someone. And then the enemy team proceeds to snowball because they have more kills. And even if you manage to get a kill and capture they're bot, they're just going to retake it since it's right next to their base. Pushing bot is a waste of time. The only time you should ever send an extra person bot is if someone on the enemy team roams bot. Top is the most important point in this game. Yes I take this game seriously and I'm sick of getting paired with people who have no clue what they're doing.

  1. Dominion hardly snowballs at all, kills only net you 100 gold and a small bump in EXP. Shutdowns catch you up quickly and the death timer advantage when you're behind is useful. Abuse it.

  2. If you go bottom, you should aim to gank and then head back top. The only time you should ever have two people constantly bottom is if you're up against a team with VERY strong team-fight presence to force the enemy team to split or if there's someone down there that no one can take 1v1. If you see that someone is heading bottom, then you probably shouldn't be three-man pushing Windmill out in the open where the enemy team will know how to counter you.

Smashing your face against Windmill is one of the surest signs that a player doesn't really grasp proper rotation yet.

That said, you need to know when ganking bot is a good idea and when it would be wiser to set up an ambush in the enemy side of the jungle to try to catch someone out. It's one of those 'feel' things that's difficult to nail down and part of the reason why so many Rift players feel like the map is aimless. The next objective on Rift is always pretty clear. On Dominion, though? Not so much.

This is why i like Dominion. You can't use the same strategy every game and expect to win. You have to respond appropriately to your opponents movements.

Perhaps it's because no one knows how to play dominion unless they've played since it came out.

I've played league since late 2014 and I never touched dominion until last week, at which point I proceeded to go duo bot bc that's what would make the most sense on summoners rift. There are no good tutorials or YouTube videos on maps other than summoners rift, which is the real problem.

First two results for "dominion guide" threw me to Sauron's and Koravel's. They're both pretty old, especially Sauron's, so most of the champion or build advice is fairly outdated. The map fundamentals and strategy sections are still generally applicable though.

Do people even play Dominion? I tried to queue up for it once and it said the est time was 3 minutes and i waited for another 13 minutes and still nothing

i can procede to assume that nobody plays Dominion

You appear to be level 29. Pre-30 queue times for SR, much less Dominion, are long. Furthermore, the new player experience for Dominion is lacking, to say the least, and bots being almost strictly all sub-30 doesn't help either.

Try again after you hit 30.

When people play dominion and lose to bots. It is a sad day. I understand this is a reference to the bottom half of the map, but i want to say Dominion and TT have massive amounts of bots in them and losing is pretty damn hard if the enemy team even gets 1.

I haven't seen any in TT, but there are bots in every fucking Dominion game right now. It sucks.
