Just wondering what RIOT's thoughts are on the state of this champion. Haven't heard anything about him since his immediate nerfs after release.

I just achieved mastery 7 with this champion and enjoy him quite a bit. :)

Question for the community #1: Aurelion Sol- OP? Just right? UP?

Question for the community #2: Why are people still taking Thunderlord's Decree on him?

I like thunder lords on him it makes his poke pattern stronger before he goes all in. What mastery do you use?

I use Deathfire Touch for my Keystone. Aurelion Sol is a sustained damage champ. He doesn't have any burst. His damage late game is pretty high, but early game its not much of a threat, especially in lane. Unless Im against a heavy sustain champ, I don't even bother with ignite.

Deathfire touch on the other hand adds some burn to his early harass, has no cooldown timer, and scales MUCH harder than thunderlords late game.

Being a big AoE team fight champ, he has a fairly easy time (if you position well) damaging multiple opponents with his abilities, thus affecting multiple targets with the deathfire touch ability.

Aurelion in lane has no kill pressure unless the opponent is bad/greedy. He is easy to escape from during the lane phase.

He is really good. But you have to be good with him and he can get countered hard.

That makes sense but 60% bonus ad when he builds no ad it doesn't make sense to me.

Neither does the 30% AD on thunderlords. Just looking at AP ratio, thunderlords has a flat 10%. Deathfire scales per tick of damage, and you only need 2 ticks to hit 12%.

Thunderlords has a scaling base dmg, but Deathfire has scaling AP ratio. Even against single target, its not hard to out damage thunderlords over time, which is kind of his thing anyway.

That and you benefit more from the 7% magic pen than you do the hybrid pen.

I find him totally weak, but this could be just because I suck at him x) I even got pretty mad everytime I played him (I sometimes accidently pick champions I don't want to play because I am late and there are like 3sec left...) so that I refunded him ^^
