I agree, Looking at you Because of you, got nerfed when he was fine for 4 seasons.

I will dance on AP Ezreals grave. Thank god he will also be gutted for ARAM players :D

only thing wrong with that is now the champion needs said item in order to work. which isn't too horrible, there are core items on nearly every champion.

nerfing the item, means other champions who use the item also get nerfed. one could say you could nerf the item, then buff those other champions. but then they become too strong when built with other, non nerfed items.

nerfing the champion while keeping the item the same only means that only that champion is affected by the nerf, and not others. who because of that item, are in a pretty good spot.

and riot wouldn't directly nerf something without reason. Maybe what you think is a nerf, is just a change in gameplay style.

like the recent ap items. they have a lil less raw AP, a nerf right? nah, they got added utilty bonuses to make them unique to a certain situation.

Perhaps what you think is a nerf, is just that. a shift in gameplay style :)

But if it's only a problem on one champion, why nerf the item for all other champions?

Same thing with Devourer and Warwick.

Lets say new item/item change:

• Makes 2 champions OP
• Comes out even on 7
• Buffs 5

The item is fine on 7 and brought 5 new champions into being more viable.

Adjusting the 2 champions requires less work than anything else they can do.

All depends on the context though. If this is about the AP Ezreal changes then in all honesty he had it coming. He is a powerhouse late game. The only reason he hasn't been viable until now is because of his easily abused early game. Since he can now take smite and get an item that lets him waveclear early game a lot has shifted.

So instead of nerfing the item that made him viable, lets adjust Ezreal a bit. Weaken his late game and let him keep his current early game. Which allows him to stay viable in more than just games where the enemy doesn't understand how to harass someone who can't harass easily through minions or waveclear.
