About the rengar revert.

First of all i'm not saying it SHOULDN'T happen. all i'm going to say is that rengar mains will abuse dark harvest and will truly one shot everyone. After that he will be banned every game at least by me anyway.

I'm just glad i'll actually get to play my old favourite again. I was about to quit league for good.

Figure i'll try him a few games until he gets super popular as a jungler, then i'll leave for good. It'll be nice to play the old bruiser kitty top, but the optimal build will likely be the oneshot crit armor pen one from the past... And as awful as the new rengar is, the old one wasn't all that good when everybody decided to abuse the unfun builds.

I can see how that will play out. Get a dark harvest stack from a cannon minion. Run to a bush, jump out on enemy champion, repeat.

You can still do that rn and do consider that even wotj canons giving 4 WOW SO HUGE 4 DAMAGE. Electro has and always be the better early rune

Honestly as a rengar main myself, he is just as any other champion in this game, give him 3-4 kills and he wins you the game, deny him kills and let him fall off and he is useless. Take a look on kayn or yasuo or zed for example, when yasuo get his pd he can 1v1 anyone, if kayn gets his blue form and duskblade he oneshots you, same for zed. The old rengar had single target damage and I honestly prefer single target damage over splash damage because that is what assassins do, they focus only one target at a time Rengar

Why would they pick Dark harvest ?? When they're already able to proc fastly thunderlo... Electrocute. Electrocute deal alot much than Dark harvest (most of time).

unless they play a tankier Rengar.

Honestly the revert is stupid imo, the instant q crit scaling with ad has zero counter play to the point where a half decent rengar could pick him Into a 3 tank 2 hyperscaling carries combo and still always kill both. Old rengar was never balanced around new runes which means inevitable nerfs when they could’ve just tweaked him and been fine. Oh and to all of you who say this rengar isn’t fun, how come none of you complained when he was op? Right because maybe all you care is how little skill it takes to one shot someone how fun for any adc main I imagine

The revert will hurt Rengar a little bit for his damage gain for many reasons.

His Q is no longer a spell, but auto attack enhancer. This means Tabis meta will be back and trust me Tabis really hurt Rengar in the past.
Reduced leap distance means more exposure when trying to target squishies, since his R is now Camouflage. And a Rengar wandering into the tankline just to jump on the squishy is suicide.
Not really a huge thing but 2 hits of the reworked Q could proc Black cleaver,and the old Q procs BC stacks slower but eh not a big issue.

I think it's the only way to make Rengar actually playable though. His current Q is unenjoyable and is easily countered, which is bad considering it's his only source of decent damage besides AA's. On top of the fact that they're nerfing the guaranteed crit on his ult, Rengar isn't that great of a champion to begin with. This revert may make him noticeably strong and more reliable, but he's still Rengar at heart. Against any decent team comp, his only purpose is to pounce in and try and take out the enemy's main source of damage. Compared to most any other assassin, Rengar lacks the ability to pick somebody off AND live to tell the tale in fight. All in all, this revert goes a long way to making Rengar enjoyable again and viable, but he is still has all the flaws that can be taken advantage of if you use your head.
