after seeing and playing more of the new aatrox

i cant decide if his skill cap is really high, or hes just trash.

reason is mostly that the change in range on the damage zones on his q feel incredibly awkward, and except for the first one are almost impossible to hit. its not even something that can be fixed by buffing up numbers or their damage.

the mechanic is supposed to be kindof similar to Darius q, but feels a lot harder to set up a hit.

imo you either have to rethink how the damage zones are shaped, maybe even inverting the first two and making him deal more damage when hes directly infront of his enemy, or you have to change something about his w to make it a better setup for his q.

he deals damage in the entire area of each of his q strikes. he only gets the knockup in the tiny one. it's actually a much bigger range than it first appears.

also because of his displacement ability and his dashes, he can set up his stuff on the fly.

the dmg for anything but the edge is pretty inconsequential

as far as ive seen, the damage in the red zone crits. at least the damage numbers pop up as crits, so they seem to deal increased damage.

they do. it says in the skill description they knock-up and do more dmg. in the champion reveal, it says it does "significantly more dmg"

If you don't hit the enemy champion, heck even the minions within the knock-up/empowered zone, you do laughable damage. Especially considering new Aatrox really only has his Q to deal damage.

he's trash, he needs to be able to move freely during qs instead of having to rely on an E dash to land them. such horrible design it's actually kind of sad.
