League is such a trash game [rant]

TL;DR: Punishment for next to nothing, broken chat restriction feature (does not replenish messages, just stays at 0 all game), Riot's balance changes breaking the game, Riot's refusal to listen to its players, flaming people apparently only punishes the recipient and not the flamer.

I've noticed that, aside from Riot shitting all over any sort of cohesive meta, they also don't understand how to make a more positive community. I have received chat restrictions more in the last two weeks than my entire 6+ years of playing League of Legends. All 3 were responses to flamers, telling them to stop flaming and start playing. This last one - which is a 25 game restriction - is literally me mocking a guy for flaming me and then muting him after a handful of banter back and forth.

I spoke with support during my last chat restriction due to my confusion. My chat log didn't show anything toxic. The worst thing I said in the log was "Stop talking shit." I found out from the Riot Support Team that even acknowledging flamers is grounds for punishment. They said mute them. Because acknowledging their behavior is apparently a negative reaction.

This is sort of the final straw for me, on top of what was already the final straw for many others with the shitstorm that's this last patch. League has always been known as the most toxic community of pretty much any competitive game on any platform, yet Riot's attempts are remedying this are stifled by their concentration on the money-making eSports scene. This game never gave a fuck about its community and their ears always seem to be plugged.

The game itself already lost a lot of appeal because of Riot's constant "WTF?!?!?" balance changes each patch that have people scratching their heads. Match that with a joke of a judicial system and you've got League of Legends.

ALSO: FIX YOUR CHAT RESTRICTION BUG - It's even more infuriating trying to effectively communicate with your team when your dumb-ass coding doesn't even work. If you're going to actively use chat restriction as a punishment, at least ensure it works and stop ignoring the countless forum posts stating it doesn't. It's like all of you need to open your eyes for once and stop looking down your own nose.
