Stopping Players You've Reported from Being in Your Next Game

So, as an avid player of ranked (currently in a lower ELO since the reset) I've noticed that there are a lot more toxic players in this lower level than in my previous level (Gold I). With that being said, I've noticed that I end up reporting people almost EVERY game. I've also noticed that when you queue back up, you're very likely to get those same people that you reported, in your next game. Currently, I am sitting on the loading screen waiting to be queued back into a game with a duo that did nothing but feed and flame all last game. Seeing me in their lobby again, they continued to flame and harass me to the point where I just feel so emotionally down that I don't even want to play. But it's too late to quit since I'm in the game and don't want to screw the other 2 people. Can there be a buffer for players that you've reported so that they don't appear in your future games, please? Like how on Xbox Live, you could report someone and ask not to play with them again. It would greatly decrease your chances almost to 0% of ever even seeing them again. Can something like this be implemented on League?

I believe it has been stated that this cannot be implemented due to the possibility of abuse at high MMR. Diamond/Master/Challenger are all fairly small, and so it would be easy to ban out the majority of your on-par opponents there. Given a few months you'd find yourself only queuing with and against people significantly less skilled than you if you just reported people every game.

Granted, this could be partially resolved by only stopping them from being your allies, but then you could still just report anyone you thought was bad and never be playing with them again. It would become far too easy to stay at the top. (Not to get there; I don't think this would do much for advancing. It would just stop you from falling.)

Ez fix, don't queue up back to back after a bad game. Take a 5-minute breather. Get a drink of water and cool off.

Not only does it help you stave off tilt, but any players that were in your previous game are likely not going to appear in your queue (unless they took a break that was just as long as yours was, which is unlikely). At the very least, it will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the chance of having any old players in your next game.

People you ignore, yes, people you report no. Otherwise people would spam report every time they lose because of the "It's my team's fault mentality" which would lead to A LOT of undeserved bans.

Or you could... You know... Dodge. Because face it, if you KNOW they're going to feed and troll, you're probably going to lose anyway, and LP penalty for dodging isn't as bad as losing a match.

I admire you for not getting downvoted lol. Maybe the community wasn't ready at the time I thought of the option :P I actually wrote out a pretty well thought out post lol.

I'm not sure how well it would work out in ranked (for higher elos) because of the small number of people, but at the very least for normals, I totally agree. It's not fair if you want to just forget about some toxic players from your last game only to wind up with them in your next game.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that blocking a player reduces (key word is reduces) your chance of seeing them again. Of course I'm not sure if I misread this somewhere, or if it would even apply to ranked, esp in higher ladders due to the reasons other users already listed.

Honestly what you should do is just wait a few minutes to start your next queue. They'll be in a new game by the time you get paired up again

I have 0 clue how the matchmaking system works, but I assume it works with pairing people in a similarly ranged MMR vs. time a player queues in. On a high population server like NA, If I end a game with a teammate I don't want to potentially be paired with in the next match, I wait no less than 60 seconds before re-queuing in, assuming that they would have queued in immediately, and hoping that that a match has been found for them before I even hop back into line. I had OPs problem once, and it hasn't been a problem since.

So, next time something like that happens, take a minute or two to cool off. Readjust your runes or masteries, watch a YouTube video, listen to a song you like, go get a soda and take a piss.. Chances are likely that if they've re-queued in, they're already loading a new game.

I did not even have to read your explanation...I read the topic, and YES PLEASE!

This happened to me yesterday! Reported them for having a negative attitude, frankly a toss up between that and unskilled player (says lissandra is a hard counter for him playing fizz, not much else to say there) and after a devastating loss i wait 5 minutes requeue and boom there he his begging for mid again. Thankfully someone else dodged and i waited another ten minutes just be safe, but seriously. There are enough players out there that after reporting someone for something you could block them from being on your team.
