Why do Rune Pages cost as much as a new champion?

I feel like many changes could be made to the store. One of those includes Rune Page pricing dropping from the 6300 IP price tag. Since the lower tier runes are dropping and Riot seems to understand the amount of time IP takes, it seems like this would also be due for an upgrade. Also, the ability to drag and drop pages (to move them around rather than creating a brand new page) would be awesome. I like order on my pages but don't want to have to re-create every single page so it's in the order I want.

Tencent wants to leech as much money from you as possible. They don't care about logic.

They want you to spend dollars, not IP.

I too think it would be nice if the Rune pages were reduced in price.

"Why do Rune Pages cost as much as a new champion?" So that if you buy a Rune Page you no longer have enough IP to buy a new champion. It's to incentivize you to spend real money to buy the champion (or a bundle of rune pages) because you want to get rune pages to make sure you aren't disadvantaged by not having the options they afford you. League is a freemium game, after all.

I just want the ability to buy runes with cash. I don't have the time nor the desire to grind out IP for rune combos I only use on certain champs. (Critrunes GP for example)

As someone who has all rune pages bought on sale and I probably won't get my IP back if it the price got reduced: NO.

My advice: Save your IP for the next sale.

How about a scaling cost? 3150 for the first one 4800 for the next one and 6300 for the rest.

or add rune pages to hextech crafting... idk.

Because it's an outdated system in need of an overhaul. Make runes cheaper and easier to buy in bulk. Make rune pages cheaper or free upon reaching certain milestones. Ect.
