Is Jhin totally op or just a top tier adc?

I've been having a lot of success with Jhin lately. As a former Jinx main I'm doing well with the immoblile powerhouse playstyle. I'm wondering if he's as op as say Yas, Camille, Illaoi etc, or just super good if your opponents don't try to exploit your weaknesses. I take partial credit for making it difficult for opponents to exploit his lack of mobility and squishyness, but I've also been noticing that some opponents haven't been doing a really good job of trying to; so this is making me wonder. There's also more counterplay to him then say a twitch or vayne, so maybe he's not quite as op, and is simply a top tier adc atm?

Well for starters Illaoi is not OP, Yas is only a tad too strong in too many situations.

Jhin is not OP, he is too versatile. Like all new champions. So it's nothing unexpected. And perhaps that is good, perhaps it should be the new standard, rather than the 'flaw'.

He's not too versatile. He's certainly good when he's played at a safe range, or someone picks a champion that buffs out his weak spots (hard engage), but he's a champion with well-defined strengths.

ADCs are just in a good spot these days.

By too versatile I meant more, in comparison to classic champions. Which is why I noted.

Do you think he's not as good as say twich and vayne, despite his versatility?

And ya I agree that champs should be as versatile as the new champs are. One dimensional playstyles are very annoying and must be op for the champ to be viable. Tryndamere is a good example of that problem, he's either bringing nowhere near enough to the table, or he's just near unstoppable.

Jhin is probably outside of that argument. The reason Twitch and Vayne are strong now (as most people will tell you) is because the hard lane bullies had early armour penetration removed. Lethality gives less than the old arm.pen did, so it's not worth playing those champions in that style anymore.

Twitch and Vayne, who had a hard time keeping up with those champions, are allowed a safer laning phase now, and subsequently are allowed to be relevant.

Jhin didn't really have a hard time keeping up with those champions, but he isn't strong because of the builds that got nerfed, so he is allowed to remain a consistent presence. I'd say he's better than Twitch and Vayne because he isn't locked down.

In my experience, Jhin is just like any other ADC...

A good support/adc combo gets you fed and you're unstoppable/OP or they don't and you're not...

Ive been queing with friends who play lux supp. The combo seems strong cuz you can double snare and do tons of damage. Plus with two long range high damage ults the enemy isn't getting away with low health. We usually win lane. Is that a very strong combo atm?

Hey CrimsonDawn77. I main Jhin and I think that lux and Jhin are a pretty good combo. Me and my friend like to do Jhin and Sion so I’d recommend checking that combo out. We do great with that. Anyways, good luck with Jhin on the Summoner’s Rift!

Non ADC mains can easily transition into picking Jhin up, even ADC mains can too.

With how his utility is a bit overturned he's going to remain as a popular pick.
