Before you say trolls and elo hell don't exist

NOTE: This isn't a "omfg im stuck in bronze/elo hell thread"

Consider the following

  1. What rank are you? If you aren't silver or bronze refer to the next question
  2. Have you ever been silver or bronze? (not silver 2/1 about to be gold but silver 5-3) If you have refer to the next question
  3. What was your main role to get to gold? If you played support you got carried and dont have the right to say "carry yourself out/do better"
  4. If not support was your kda/objective/teamwork/cs/ect good? If not again you got carried and refer to the above^ 5)How many bronze or silver games did you actually FAIRLY win Most of my wins come from the enemy team fighting/flaming/afking/feeding/ect. Its been a Long time since I had a fair win where both teams did great and weren't toxic.
  5. Do you have an ego because you are no longer bronze/silver? If so you dont belong in the forums gtfo

7)THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION Have you ever dealt with the following -you try and tell a player what they are doing wrong in a nice way, they flip shit start bitching at you blame you and afk and then come back, feed and report you -you do well in lane and dont die, the rest of the lanes feed, by the time you are able to dmg and get kills the guy feeding the most takes the kills and lets you die then reports you for feeding when you lose -you get a jungler who doesnt listen to pings and ganks then dies multiple times even when you said not to screwing over your lane OR a jungler who invades alone and ends up dying -Bronze in general where 75% of leagues most toxic and terrible players live

If you have considered the following please enlighten me how elo hell does not exist and that I have better "chances" of not getting a troll on my team Cus after: -the singed jungle intentionally feeding -the yorick jungle who fed -the leo support who was toxic after she asked us to group and I politely let her know that she was the one not grouping then she afked and reported me along with the pantheon who was toxic tword her then blamed me -the support fiddle who fed -the support morg who fed -the shaco jungle who stole all my kills as morde mid even though I shut down zed mid lane

Im starting to think that you all dont get it

Lol. I love question four.

I was stuck in Bronze MMR (Silver V 0 LP losing WAAAAY more than I was gaining and playing bronze 4-2) for most of season 3 into season 4. Then I started playing engage supports and carried to gold with a 65% winrate on Thresh, a 60% winrate on Braum and a 75% winrate on Leona.

Go ahead, tell me I'm getting carried with an average of 3 kills 3 deaths 19 assists per game and a 75% winrate. Playing support just makes it easier because there's so many idiots who go "Muh can't carry without damage im gunna play lux/zyra/annie/velkoz support" and it becomes laughably easy to get 11 kills in lane and cause a double ragequit with Leona.

Stay classy bronze boy.

except you considered the following and your kda is good except as a support the problem is if you fall behind youre just extra weight (even more so if not a tanky support) and if your team makes a comeback you get carried, because lets be honest supports are great, but you cant get a triple kill if your ADC afks as a support(unless you go the dmg support which isnt even a support thats just a kill lane)

Non-tank Supports are the single best champ class in the game at playing from behind, are you high? If a Nami is 0/5 you know what she's still got? A heal with huge base values, a slow, and two forms of AOE cc. If an ADC is behind you know what they've got? No damage, no bases, no cc.

That's also funny because I've won 2/3 games where I had a really early ADC AFK by building AD thresh. If I'm anyone else my usual game plan is to tell the jungler to rotate between that quadrant of the jungle and my lane to clear away from the tower and try and engage, it's tough going but I've got around a one in four winrate with 4v5s I think? Probably less if you consider rage quits when were already losing, but just pure never connects I think I've managed to swing around a quarter. It is admittedly wayyyyy easier with thresh and lulu than a Leona or Braum since they have range and waveclear.

Yea not going to lie, you have literally proved that you belong where you are. Im not meaning to bash but thats pretty much all you have done. As for the whole "Supports get carried" a good support will spoon feed a losing team and have them back in the fight. They are not the ones taking the objectives, they arent the ones getting the kills (Shouldnt be anyways), they arent the ones dealing massive damage, they are the people that kept you alive in early game, if they are good they will be the ones setting the bar for initiation and making plays for YOU to do that damage. YOU would not be able to do that damage had you not been spoon fed, sustained, body blocked, and peeled for.

How should i put it?

Everyone knows that what you said is incorrect (both OP and this post).

Leona is the stample low elo support, she can engage like a god. In low elo teams have poor engage, and if someone actually does have it, they tend to use it terribly. A good player with a good sense of shot calling can make a bigger impact than the fed adc. Also, leo snowballs HARD. Having her in a losin lane? She can engage, or ... engage. Into a fight you can't win. Tanky supports NEED GOLD to be tanky. Damage supports need gold to do damage (except karma...), but the utility supports need nothing. They have the same ish CC with 1k gold or 10k.

About your OP. One of the lessons you are yet to learn is how to get carried. You get carried by not picking MASTER YI/FIORA/AKALI, and feeding like hell, but rather picking a champ that can do something other than dmg, and still not feed. You may think 'i can only carry one out of twenty games', but not feeding, and not being useless means that your team can win one out of ten games, simply because when every game has a feeder, you were not one.

I carried myself out of silver with shen (back in early s3), and at one point, i had 21 games with him, and a 75 (seventy-five) KDA. Couse i DID NOT DIE. Learn that. The rest is easier.

I end up "feeding" because my teams feed, then I get focused for some reason (say im the adc) then my team just cares about KDA (cus who wants to tank and protect the adc nowadays amirtie?) then i get focused getting no kills meanwhile the early feeders who were all 0/5/ 0/4 ect are all getting the kills then when we lose they start the flame war and blame me for feeding because im sitting here 1/10/25 as the adc because my team is full of arrogant players who care more about their kda than winning IE the 25/4 player who never teamfights and rushed a g/a

You play jinx, draven MF as adc. I really wonder why you get focused. Play ezreal or cait. Adcs that are a menace to focus down.

People say that I get carried all the time because I main support. Fun fact, only 80% of my games are on Braum support. Often times I'll play him jungle and top (rarely mid if nothing's open), and people are fixated upon the fact that I carry 100% winrate on him outside of support. People are just so quick to assume that you're worthless if you main a support champ or play support - but supports do the playmaking. I appreciate OP for his ignorance, gave me a good laugh for today.

the role of support falls of when it comes to carrying, I would do braum top more often but then I get reported if I die once, or dont get enough cS or i just get flamed in general, supports make plays sure BUT DO THEY KILL? no, do they do damage? not unless you build them to do damage, a support gets carried theres no ifs ands or butts about it, if youre support, youre not carrying sure you might be making good plays and shit, but without your team you arent doing jack to win, SUPPORTS GET CARRIED its simple as that, did i say supports were useless? no I just said your statement of "carry yourself out" is invalid if you got carried out if you were an adc and you went 10/0 for 5 games straight and the enemy was a feeder and you were bronze/silver then I might actually listen to you, but if youre a support main who relies on the luck of getting a good team (because even duo partners can fail) you get carried YOU DONT CARRYYOURSELF AS A SUPPORT its very simple do you get it yet?

Marinaras Trench1 votes

If you played support you got carried and dont have the right to say "carry yourself out/do better" I don't play support, but this just made me disregard the whole thread. As an adc main I know that supports do all the work. All I do is just deal damage while supports have to cc the enemy, protect me, block skill shots, harass the enemy without getting hit back, make plays, ward in the right places (Adc's do that as well but not to the same extent) deal with terrible people (tend to be adcs but not me) and literally pull 80% of the weight of bot lane.

**If you have considered the following please enlighten me how elo hell does not exist and that I have better "chances" of not getting a troll on my team Cus after: -the singed jungle intentionally feeding -the yorick jungle who fed -the leo support who was toxic after she asked us to group and I politely let her know that she was the one not grouping then she afked and reported me along with the pantheon who was toxic tword her then blamed me -the support fiddle who fed -the support morg who fed -the shaco jungle who stole all my kills as morde mid even though I shut down zed mid lane **

Also, you do have better chances of not getting a troll/feeder on your team. Do you actually believe that you are better then most gold players? If so, how did they get out. There are 2 ways to get out, either

Be ridiculously nice to everyone. Makes them play better and will help you get out faster. Or Get better at the game.

Sure you might have been getting some trolls, but as someone who has been playing games in the rank that you have, I know for a fact that this does not happen every game. It happens around 50% of the time and usually there are feeders on the other team as well so take advantage of that. Let everyone on your team get fed off of them and tell your feeder (Almost every team has one) to go die to them to reset the death spree so you get more gold. There are some people who with silver mechanics, have climbed all the way to diamond.

I'll finish this off by saying that I am currently bronze 1. No I am not good at the game, I have pretty poor mechanics, but from personal experience your wrong. Bye

^ "It happens around 50% of the time" Which is why promo matchs suck, If you get unlucky then you're just screwed. Typically i win up to my promos. Win 1 lose 2. If i get really lucky with no trolls i make it to the next rank. The question becomes.

When do i have the motivation to grind out games as a support?

  1. Please tell me how you do tons of damage and get all the kills as a support :^)? Im referring to the one who can do damage regardless of CC or being focused sure a good support makes the game, but in the end a team can do just fine without a support and still win. Because honestly whose going to kill everyone the 25/0 vayne or the 0/11/25 sona? sure sona got vayne fed and thats great, but in the end say sona disconnected, it wouldnt matter vayne is the carry, but if vayne leaves? youre team is screwed

2)"Also, you do have better chances of not getting a troll/feeder on your team. Do you actually believe that you are better then most gold players? If so, how did they get out. There are 2 ways to get out, either" did you consider the following? -half of the gold and up players who say "git gud m8" have never been silver or bronze, they probably got a lucky winning spree in placements or played the game back before the trolls became a huge issue (season 2 was a great time) and even after the resets it didnt matter because they are already placed in gold

3)"Be ridiculously nice to everyone. Makes them play better and will help you get out faster. Or Get better at the game." implying being nice works after that leo game where being nice only made it worse implying doing good matters when that shaco on purpose starved me from kills as morde mid (even though I shut down zed mid and was our only hope to win he deicided "fuk u morde im takin all ur kills then gunna go die")

4)"I know for a fact that this does not happen every game. It happens around 50%" It happens 100% of the time, wether on your team or the enemy team, in silver/bronze the wins/losses are determined by which team has the feeder/afker/troll/ect which means you didnt consider the following

some extra notes -having less of a chance of getting a troll on your team is actually a very small percent and has no outcome on the actual chances on getting a troll because if like you, there is at least one person on the enemy team who Q's up and isnt not a troll both teams now have the same chance of getting a troll (not to mention the MANY MANY TYPES of players that could be considered "troll")

Ranked is luck based, hell the entire game is based on luck of getting a team that actually will play the game correctly and not act like it doesnt matter

TryplexIsThaBext1 votes

this games definitely more luck based than other games like shooters etc, alot of skill for sure, but when i go into a shooter game, 15v15 or w/e my entire team can not get a single kill, but ill always feel like a god murkin ppl left and right, not so with this game, alot of it has to do with luck, and many other aspects

TryplexIsThaBext1 votes

but thats the point tho isnt it, once you realize why your losing its alot easier to climb ranks because you dont let yourself get down on a match that you didnt have much controll over in the first place, most matches are lost in the champion select screen imo assuming people arent awfull at their champions, not even good, just arent awfull

the main thing is realize why you lost/won after each game, itll make future games much easier

1.I was high silver/low gold in the preason. 2. Yes, in Season 3, I was in Bronze 1. 3. I main mid mages like Xerath, Veigar, and Azir. Periodic Malz, Ori, Syndra, Kat, and Anivia. 4. I'm not the best at CS-ing in lane, but I spent hundreds of games vs intermediate bots and then hundreds more in ARAM before I went on to play exclusive SR PVP, so there are a few subtle things I've gotten very good at that add up and compensate. I tend to focus quite heavily on objectives which is part of why I love Azir so much. I would say that I'm good at teamwork; sure I have moments when I'm oblivious, but those are pretty rare. Oh, and my KDA was nearly always quite good. 5. Idk, several? I had to deal with feeders and the like in S3. But then I improved my game.
6. Not really. I mean, yeah I'm proud of how much better I've gotten, but all I have to do is go to my university's facebook page about league to find diamond players that would label me crap, so... 7. Yes. Yes. In S3 smart pings weren't a thing, but I had similar experiences nonetheless. Like I said, I was in Bronze.

Think of it this way: if you aren't sucking, then that means that the enemy team has five players that each have a, say, 50% chance each of sucking/feeding/other while your team only has four. As a result, their team on average will have more suckiness than yours. Since you appear to be stuck in Bronze, that means you need to improve your game. For me personally, my problem in S3 was my teamplay. I would win lane almost without question, but I never ganked the other lanes and didn't start getting kills in my own lane early enough. I didn't work with my jungler enough (in large part because I'd never seriously tried jungling, so I didn't appreciate their job). Your issues may be entirely different.

If you haven't spent a lot of time in all roles though, I highly recommend that. It gives you much better teamplay by giving you perspective.

All of Low gold and below are luck based. Your chance of getting 5/5 games in a row with normal sane players that have common sense is very low. In my last 5 - 7 games, there is at least somebody that seems to be their first time, afk, troll, leaver, feeder, etc. And when you get a streak of these games, you just tend to continue to go down and get more and more because your MMR puts you there.

This is what ELO hell is.

Knight SoIaire 1 votes

support vel koz wrecks your argument with just one out of his four eyes right near support nami who also does damage and triforce leona soloing enemy carries and one shoting tower and if you dont want to troll pick lulu, she just builds ap on a regular basis because her supportiveness scales with it

-you try and tell a player what they are doing wrong in a nice way, they flip shit start bitching at you blame you and afk and then come back, feed and report you

i deal with it every day well not ever day since my isp went to hell and everytime im home i have insane lags so i rarely play league lately, but normaly i played on a daily basis and faced it often, then i just dropped it and started pinging where im going and what i expect

Im starting to think that you all dont get it

you dont get the fact that silver is easy enough to win despite trolls trying to make your game harder, they just fail too hard ofc assuming that you are a higher league player, simple silver guy will have to improve like any other person to get higher which is hard (thats the part you dont get i think)

oh boy i loved the game when we had a trollnivia who was a pro with her wall (she was wery good at placing them), literaly stunning us in place so enemies could catch and kill us, every time i saw it i just walked to the wall and flashed over it, even if i was walking other way or she failed that wall, just to show her i meant business, we won anyway

5)How many bronze or silver games did you actually FAIRLY win Most of my wins come from the enemy team fighting/flaming/afking/feeding/ect. Its been a Long time since I had a fair win where both teams did great and weren't toxic.

this argument sucks usualy when enemy team starts losing they start flaming, which is the last nail in the coffin if they cant contain themselves they lose, their lack of competence does not mean i didnt deserve the win

its like sayin that i dont deserve a win becuase enemy team plays worse than me, and this is the exact reason i deserved and got the win

  1. What was your main role to get to gold?

i played adc when i was clibing silvers blue ez was a pwnage because games lasted long enough to get full build despite leaving your team alone (literaly those guys just chase kills, they didnt even take dragon) on top of defendijng towers with his ult while noobs chased themselves

let me say this the simple proof of elo hell not existing is the fact that any higher elo player will get through bronze and silver in 2 maybe 3 days, literaly, and i speak from experience you believe in elo hell because its your elo and you need to actualy get beter and much better to get higher, this isnt easy to do so its frustrating when you look at the other guys and guess what, we get it and we are already over this

also did you know one thing 90% of trolls have in cvommon? Start winning and they help you, they want that win too and if they see that its in their reach they will go for it, playeing good= less trolls

also about the support argument .... IT BACKFIRED you say that you cant carry with a support but the main reason you think so is your lack of skill and knowledge to actualy do it, there are champion and there are builds allowing you to man up as support and get that team on your back
