For those who still argue against it, GP's problem is 100% Klepto
In one anti-GP discussion it was said that he's not strong because of Klepto, and he's just broken. It was also said that he takes Grasp almost as often as Klepto and performs just as well.
Yet according to op.gg, 92% of GP games they show stats for are played with Kleptomancy, and 2.8 percent are played with Aery, which is the next highest keystone percentage of all recorded. Check champion.gg and you see Kleptomancy for pick rate AND win rate. Check lolalytics and Grasp is finally on the charts, but only at a 4.4% pick rate vs 89% for Klepto. Yes, lolalytics will show similar winrate to Klepto, but when you see a guy who's played in 15.43% of games take it only 4% of the time, you're seeing Grasp GP literally less than 0.7% of the time, which means numbers can be skewed by any number of things from one tricks to smurfs, etc. And OF that 0.7% of games, he's only winning roughly 0.35% of them anyway - at a just-above 50% winrate.
GP's winrate with Aery is 51.21% but it's play rate is less than half of what's recorded in lolalytics for Grasp, which means there's STILL no chance that it's breaking GP (not like 51% is a broken winrate anyway).
Other recorded keystones are Comet and Spellbook, both of which he's actually sitting at 47% and 48% winrates for respectively.
So, maybe GP has a problematic kit that can be unfun, maybe he's got qualities that are definitely annoying and will piss people off (like the barrel minigame that anyone who plays melees will complain about), but being unfun to lane against does NOT make him broken. Yes, he's definitely really strong right now, but stats continue to show that it is because of KLEPTO, not GP himself, otherwise his winrates would not be dipping on other keystones. In fact, you'd expect to see better results when those lower percentage play rates are typically one-tricks anyway.
