Udyr is unviable in Diamond, but he's way too good below that. Is he ever going to get real balance?
He's literally unplayable at Diamond because he's out-scaled by every other jungler around the mid game, and he only really functions if he snowballs out of control in the early game, which requires the enemy team playing poorly (which is why he's too good at lower tiers; the enemy team consistently plays poorly).
Even doing well (like 4-0-4) in the early game is not enough for him to remain relevant in the middle to late game; he needs to have a ridiculous score like 8-0-8 in order to retain any agency over the game, otherwise he completes his Trinity Force too late, and the jungle item upgrades don't provide him with much power.
One of the biggest problems is that he has to dump 1200 gold into Tiamat just so he can clear his own jungle. Fixing this would go a long way to making him viable against skilled players, as he would finish his Trinity Force and get a power spike significantly earlier.
This has been a pretty consistent problem with him for the past few seasons, minus the Runic Echo cheese. Can we please finally get some real balance for him, so he's more useful against skilled players, and less frustrating to play against for unskilled players?
