Why do junglers do this...

I am a jungle main. I haven't been playing jungle for a while because I've just been taking a break. But when I'm jungle, when a lane is losing I help them first. Top: 2/3 Fiora Middle: 5/0/0 Yasuo Bottom: 1/3/1 Jinx and Braum

What I don't get is why so many jungles say to gank the Yasuo TO KEEP HIM FED? They're like "OH YOU SHOULD GANK THE WINNING LANE SO IT CAN SNOWBALL EVEN MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEE!" The lane is already winning, must you spend your time helping it? While the Yasuo is now 7/0/1, the enemy Vayne is now 6/1/2 and the enemy Dr. Mundo is now 5/3/2. So our Yasuo's fed but the enemy Dr. Mundo and Vayne roam middle and get a shut down on Yasuo. The Yasuo can't fight Dr. Mundo and Vayne. So who's going to help? The feeding Fiora and Jinx couldn't deal because Vayne snowballed hard and got first blood double kill because Rengar came bottom while after that Rengar has been camping top over and over. While the Jinx Braum and Fiora have all been asking for ganks the Lee Sin is saying NO I WILL GANK LANES THAT ARE WINNING NOT LOSING. What's the point of a gank? To help the lane. Why gank lanes that don't need help? It just sounds like the Lee Sin wants to get free assists off of the Yasuo instead of going to help the team win the game.

depends. if you can force their jungler to keep their attention away from your losing lane by pressuring with winning lane than its a good thing. sometimes helping losing lane just invites more skirmishes there which may not be in your favor.

At the same time, there is a very legitimate strategy in trying to make plays away from the enemies fed champions. You have a higher likelihood of success continuing to gank for Yasuo then trying to make a play bot lane in that situation. Plus, if only Yasuo is fed, you can expect a roam from somebody. Whether that's top ADC or support, you can expect that there will be company. If you're there to counter gank, you have a better chance at getting Yasuo out alive.

Ideally you and Yasuo should roam top or bot together. If you're not ahead and you gank a losing lane, you can all end up dying and losing even more.

It may frustrate the laners, but they're not going to be happy if you end up helping feed their lane opponent by trying to gank, either.

If they lose the lane too fast, you really don't want to go down there alone or you get destroyed.

Generally speaking, if a lane is fed that means they have already snowballed its easy for them to kill the laner with little to no effort.

As a jungler, if you gank a lane thats winning hard, you pretty much can piggyback yourself onto the snowballing and get yourself ahead as well.

A losing lane is difficult to gauge. especially in a scenario where you're dealing with a 6 and 1 vayne, its game over, you can't gank that lane. If a gank fails, which in a situation where the lane is losing is very likely, you're setting yourself back massively. If a lane is set back, its easy for the jungler to get setback as well, especially if said lane is being toxic and flaming for a gank which will be unlikely to reap any attainable benefits.

What if it doesn't work? You get counterganked, your botlane dies and it's basically over because they got a triple, a drake and a tower? Ganking a winning lane assures a low risk play with likely reward. And it's not only about killing the guy, it's also about taking an objective near. Also, let's say your midlaner is dumpstering the other one, he's more likely to roam and use that lead to snowball other people.

Ganking losing lanes is risky. It can work, but it's riskier, harder. Doesn't mean it's always the wrong choice. But it's not always the right choice !

Okay what I think many of you don't understand is that the Yasuo is already fed. He doesn't need any help as long as the enemies stay in their own lane. The enemy Rengar is smart and started camping middle and killed the Yasuo a few times. Now the Rengar has his top and bottom lane winning and is helping the middle win lane. Now the Yasuo can't carry because all lanes fed. Whose fault is this? The Lee Sin. He would rather go middle and grab some free assists then help people in need. Think of it like this: if you were to give food to a wealthy man or a poor man who would you choose? The wealthy man is already got all the food he needs while the poor man is starving. You MUST give the food to one of them. Who would you choose? The rich man so you could gain a little fame with him or the poor man to help him get back on his feet?
